MOTY Round 4 - Howe nominated again - vote now

might be a good chance here

Gawn robbed of a GOTW nomination.

Could have been in consideration for MOTW too if they weren't obsessed with jumping on peoples' heads. You can't tell me that mark in the goalsquare isn't every bit as good as Howes, even if it's less spectacular.

Man, I reckon Howe is gonna have to upgrade his garage by the end of his career. Gonna have too many cars.

A car may have been the prize at one time; these days the winner only gets the use of a vehicle for 12 months.

His junior club gets $5K and he gets an Alex Jesaulenko Medal.

Schulz could get the nod here. Howe's equally spectacular.

if Howe hadnt spilled the ball at the end it would have been a better grab IMO

I voted for Howe, but actually liked JR8's mark the best

big max's mark was 10x better.

And goal of the year combined.

Wrestles 2 off and goes BOOM

Schultz had his hands on the defender's shoulders - should have been a free.

Great leap by our Jeremy.

Is this his 10th nomination in the last 26 matches?

Please don't let JR win this week... had his eyes closed and almost falcon'd himself haha.

Second one shouldn't be a mark as it was hands in the back.... looks like Howe is the only decent one ;)

who got the nod ?

Sounds about right although I can't be bothered confirming.

Do you reckon the programmers of the "Mark of the Year" part of the AFL site just have Howe's profile pic on speed dial to set it in beside his best grab of the week?

who got the nod ?

Don't know. None of the winners from rounds 1-3 in either "mark of the year" or "goal of the year" have been announced. Last year, the website displayed the winners after each round and even included a percentage of the votes as well. This year, in their infinite wisdom, they have only named the random citizen that has won the weekly prize through the sponsors for voting for the winner.
