Warning points

Recommended Posts

Hello to the Admins and sorry for hijacking the main board but private messaging doesn't seem to get the job done.

I have 2 warning points on my profile received from Rhino Richards dating back to 2010.

One was for this : "Grow a set and remove your hands from your pants while your at it. " while discussing a Dean Bailey thread in 2010
and the other was for saying FCUK in 2011.

I'm sure you'll agree that whilst they are inappropriate, they are very small infractions. I'm a real lurker on this site since 2008 (my profile name was then Clay Sampson) and only add to a conversation when I feel a point hasn't been raised and or I feel too passionately about something to not speak up. We have a great group here at Demonland and also a diverse one which often means my sentiments will be echoed or posted by someone in advance and is why I don't fell the need to repeat points for the sake of it. this is the reason for my relatively low post count.

However, when I do post it's slightly annoying to see the evil "2 warning points" next to my post with that comes with a (right or wrong) lack of cred, if you know what I mean?

Keep rocking Dees fans and hopefully someone can help me out here

Cheers

Dan

Hate to tell you this Dan, but the rest of us don't see those two points (just visible to you as a warning I would say)... looks like you just outed yourself and now your forum cred has been shot to pieces ;-)

As hardtack posted ICU2, others can't see them.

Whilst they're considered minor infractions by you, these comments are still issued warnings today.

However, good behaviour over time and mods discretion should see these points reduced where and when warranted.

Hope this helps.

I can't help but laugh out loud :-)

What can I say?

Now I'm very suspicious of just how many "hidden" warning points are on the main board . . . . ;-)

If my post achieved nothing other than to give me a laugh at my own stupidity then I think it's all been worthwhile

No probs, and if it helps you sleep at night, yes there are other posters with points too.

Thanks for the feedback mate. Is 3 years enough time served though for at least 1 of those points to be removed? demerit points recover quicker than that to be fair . . .

Haha, fair point. Let me review.

Come to think of it I have some demerit points of my own recovering this month.

Clearly it's party time then :)

Spend them wisely. I find doing 44 downhill through the city a very sure-fire way to spend 1

Veteran Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin returned to the training track to bring you the following observations from Gosch's Paddock this morning. Beautiful morning for training. The dew has dried, out from AAMI, quiet chatting. Maysie does his heart symbol. 7 in rehab, Turner, Hore, Sestan, BBB, Petty, Spargo and Schache. All in runners. Melky weighted and change of angles work. Salem has his individual program. White cap (no contact), Howes, Woewodin and Sparrow

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
