Another who'll be there in spirit from a far-away place.

Impressive work, reminds us of why we do this in the first place. Hopefully the unity being displayed here can spill over into the club.

WAdee, maybe ring a local media outlet and let them know MFC supporters are gettng behind the playing group

Emailed the editor, chief of staff plus a few others at the West Australian and going to text local sports radio to let everyone know we're gettin behind our club in its hour of need.

Is there a hashtag for those that can't attend? Thinking we could do better than the club's #firstandforever?

Thinking those that wear their colours to work tomorrow could twitter a pick around 9.30am?

Let's trend!

Even though I have been as deflated as a Collingwood-supporting-dentist over the past week, and have posted about no longer being able to emotionally invest... I just can't help myself. I will rearrange my day tomorrow and get to training somehow.

Red and Blue until I die.

Edit: I just posted it on my Facebook page. Heaps of my extended family are supporters and/or members. Can't wait to get there.

see if you can drag that camel driver bbo with you - lol

Yes it is the Hols he should be available

A historic morning indeed... this from the official MFC site.

"LESS THAN one day after being vacated by Collingwood, Gosch's Paddock will become Melbourne's main training ground on Friday.

The Demons will t ake to the ground, which was used almost exclusively by the Magpies, for their final training session ahead of Saturday's MCG clash with West Coast."

Love to join the crowd in support of the team we love, but too far to travel from the nation's capital for the morning.

Have a grand old morning, people.

Born Melbourne, living Melbourne, will die Melbourne......

Excellent job all! Especially to Wizza and waynewussell......look at what you guys have started!

Not only will I be sporting a beard, I'll be wearing the red and blue at work tomorrow!

Great job

Love your work

Lets just hope the players realize that we are showing support and not think that we have come in protest or come to see this so called professional training standard that they can't implement on-field.

Wish I could make it but I have Monday off and can't get I've off tomorrow.

Great work from all who make it.

Cant go tomorrow, taking my little boy to swimming in the morning.

Might be able to make it late into the session.

I'll try and make it, parking is a problem. But worth the effort.

We should all wear some identifying feature. Todd Viney bandana?

A fake Beard!

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

The Demons come face to face with St. Kilda for the second time this season for their return clash at Marvel Stadium on Sunday. Who comes in and who goes out?
