We lost over a days worth of data

Featured Replies

The sad part is we lost a great thread by bananas titled "Run, run, run" which was a pretty good analysis of part of the reason why our team continues to flounder.

What happened?

Did Jack Viney post?

No. He just logged on.

This must be the cyberspace equivalent of losing a flock of Apacas

Apacas? new one on me bbo. some new brand of tablet pc?

Flock of? Really?

yeah, they're are long necked sheep

(actually they are camels but don't tell bbo)

A thought just struck (does not happen often). For a short time last night I put up a far less sophisticated and athletic avatar - perhaps that is what caused the meltdown

did you lose it in the-great-data-loss?

i thought a "biggest loser" avatar was very apt

in fact i think all of us should get a similarly themed one

we could rename DemonLand as DreamonLand in honour of stuie

Is this a conspirecy to remove Hells Gate letter of resignation from 'Land and the Dees?

Think he was found out, mate.

Unfortunately the vision of that new and enlarged avatar has been burnt into my brain since you put it up, BBO. I've not been able to keep food down all day.

And you know this how?

The [censored] thread had a statement from 'Land management about a complaint being raised about his story or statements.

Waiting for RR to read in the paper how many posts were lost and then go about the business of posting the number in every comment he writes... and blaming Schwab. And Watts. And culture.

It works, but it doesn't show the names.

Yes correct

Excuse me if I am a little thick tonight but isn't that the same result?

Kind of... You're still "liking" the post, and the poster will get a notification, but it won't show up in the forum.

Yes I understand stuie, glad to see it is just not me.

The way the electronic world has been treating me over the last month I am getting a little paranoid about it.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
