I'm going to try to get to training on Friday. Is G's paddock much of a walk from Flinders St. - never been there.

I am working down at the tennis centre (less said the better) just factor in more traffic both foot and motor at the moment. Also you may find it easier to get there from Richmond station. Enjoy..I am quite jealous

He should be working harder than a bar of soap in the Castlemaine Health Spa on his disposal efficiency.

I hope you can handle the big city by yourself .

Watch out for rats and cockroaches-Collingwood and Richmond may be training nearby.

Thanks for the sage advice Biffo. However, bars of soap have particular concerns and I'll be avoiding them. Truth to tell - I'm hoping to get a glimpse of BH - I guessing he will have a bright aura and 1000's of disciples at his feet.

BH will be able to explain to you what they are doing .

It will be an exciting opportunity for you to get up close to the big man.

Totally Jealous.

I've had enough of this Biffen! You are totally direspectful. You should get down on your knees. All I want to do is touch the robe - that will be sufficient- I expect that my evil ways will then pass forever.

Perhaps not worth starting a new thread for (mods?), but news from today's 3k Time Trial:

Melbourne Football Club Christopher José Cincotta we like to keep the times in house but the top places, in order are: Dan Nicholson, Tom McDonald, Rohan Bail, Jordie McKenzie, Nathan Jones, Joel Macdonald and Dom Barry.

And further ...

Jay Clark@ClarkyHeraldSun

Dees time trail first home Dan Nicholson (9min22) and Tom McDonald. At Princes Park.

Young Dee Jack Viney in super nick. Finished 8th in about 10min15sec. All set for a big first year.

Although dated, the following article puts these times into perspective. To have eight players run around Princess Park in under 10min 15 sec is pretty impressive when you think that Judd's best time was 10 min 33 sec and the course record 9 min 49 sec.

I appreciate your concern Biff but I'm going thru with this. There come's a time when one has to man up. BTW . Where can I get one of those John Voight rawhide type jackets at short notice?

You obviously have a very cultured fashion sense Sloon, but I've never been a chaps man. In fact, I happened to be visiting "The Castro" during some sort of festival. After that, the mere thought of chaps left me disturbed.

Be interested to know how many beat their previous time for this pre season and how many PB's were run.

Castro Cuba's former leader, or Castro the gay hub in San Fran.

Actually I don't want to know.

the course record it seems WAS 9,49 , looks like dan nich is the new record holder at 9,22 , good stuff i say ,

Hi everyone, I forgot to mention in my report. I had a good chat with Col Garland and he was very serious when he said "It will be very hard to get a game in the back-line this year". I understood what he was saying, because they are (1) a tight group, (2) They are all very fit, and (3) They are all very competitive.

IMO our back-line was always our strongest on the ground. I honestly think it has gotten stronger.

I stand to be corrected about him playing as a forward at AFL level, but why you'd want to move a valuable 10 year key back to the forward-line when you have Dawes, Hogan, Pedersen and Mitch Clark has me dumbfounded.

So if we had Nick Reiwoldt in the team, you'd play him in defense because we've got Pedo and an untried 18 year old to play forward? By that logic we should never have moved Wattsy back...

Anyway, whatever. I'm not here to argue that we should be moving him forward today, just that the potential for him to be a damaging roving CHF is there. I'll be quietly chuffed if I turn out to be correct.

I'm not 100% sure on this I think the actual Princes Park course is about 3.2- 3.3kms but Melbourne run a 3km time trial. So the record time being 9.49 is over the extra 200-300m so technically Dan's is no record.

Yeah it's 3.183km

I ran it last night and saw the chalk and cone markers out and thought, wonder if the dee's ran it again, they always leave their cones and [censored] behind?!

I would only be abe to beat Blease :P

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
