Is the '12' an inclusive figure or one determined by taking the year commenced from the year retired ?

No offence intended re your mathematical prowess Deevoted :o

Brett Lovett was recruited from Hawthorn.

You are 100% correct on that, But what about prior to him joining the Hawks.?

No offence taken ^_^ My calculator has new batteries.

A number of former players went on to serve on the board. That may or may not have any bearing on this, just thought I'd mention it.

Gary Hardeman

I think you'll find that Gary was a local product who came from Moorabbin Technical School which wasn't part of the country by 1967.

Originally from the country but the question says "recruited from country Victoria". He was recruited by us from Hawthorn. A bit misleading in an MFC quiz to talk about where the Hawks recruited him from.

Pardon me but I'm in a nitpicking mood today.

I see your point, I was defending stingrays guess somewhat. (Dont know why, he got it wrong anyway). You could say we got him from the Hawks 2nds, via Inverloch originally. I luv to mislead. Nipick to your hearts content. lol next!

I went to the same school as Garys' younger brother. I know who got all the footy abilities. I used to drill his brother every week on what goss he had.

Damn, wish I was a big gun...

Yze?

If that's a hint, it could be, might be, may be, but is unlikely to be 'Bluey' Adams.

Yze?

Country boy Josh but Adem was around for 14 years.

The bigger the gun Josh, the more they want to shoot you down

bit of a stretch - Stuart Spencer (player, chaiman)

Only one guess per clue please!

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
