I'd say if there were some serious talent/experience on the table in the form of a top line midfielder, use pick 4 on that. But seeing as there probably won't be, my preferred result would be Toumpas at 3 and Hogan/Martin (MD) for 4. Pick 13 definitely Stringer if he is available. Failing that, Kennedy or Wines.

the strategy has to be to use high draft picks to take the BEST talent available. It doesnt matter if a club takes too many of one type. Quality players can be used as currency in later years in trade negotiations where a club can use excess talent to trade for a 'need'. MFC, scoop up as much young talent as possible please.

I will call it now but MFC have done a deal to get caddy and on send pick 4 to GCS and hence let viney slip to pick 20 something. It's what they call a win/win

I was all for trading pick 3 or 4 for an A-grader with the right fit early on and with trade week starting Monday I' m still open to it.

The reality is however that no one of note and in their right mind would be willing to be traded to us.

This leaves me with only wanting 2012 draftees.

The mini draft doesn't sit too well with me. These kids are over 18 months away from having any impact for us and we need all the help we can get right now. The variables associated with getting a 17yo kid who has been projected as a top line pick 12 months out from the next draft seem too great to say the least.

Recruit now and for the love of God recruit well!!
