Sharrod Wellingham

Me confused. Has Byrnes manager said:

A - Shannon is staying at Geelong

or

B - Shannon would like to pursue options elsewhere

Has said he is leaving Geelong and is confident something can be worked out with Melbourne as they have been in contact with management for most of the year.

Wellingham's manager says if he stays in Melbourne he'll be at Collingwood, on Trade Radio I believe

Yeah, he said Collingwood or WA basically.

Also said they have not spoken with Melbourne at all.

That's true...

Once/if we offer something better then W.A in trade month then he will have to weigh up his options. It could be come to us or go to the draft for wellingham

His manager just said he's not going to anyone except for WCE, Freo or Pies. Flick onto Trade Week radio if u can, should clear up your qualms

Ok so Wellingham, Knights and Pearce are out.......any decent mids left???

Said on SEN and on Twitter that MFC about to make a 'strong' play for Wellingham... Also heard rumours that he wanted to get to Hawthorn... So I dont buy that he is out just yet.

becuase he doesnt want to come to Melbourne or because we havent approached him yet?

Didn't say but his manager made it clear (at this point) that it is Collingwood or a WA team.

Bloke on big footy suggests that its a bluff and he is 90% likely to be a Dee from a source that claims to have intimate knowledge - LOL

Unfortunately his manager doesn't have the power to the rights of his contract so I am not sure why he is making statements like this.

Collingwood can choose to do what they want with Sharrod's contract rights

Like ive said - he seems ideal if Hell's gate's statement that our number 1 target is a Scully speed/spreading replacement then he is the best available to my mind. if that is his current attitude we need to offer enough to change it.

A trade of pick 13 or a tall might change their tunes

Lol we're like the unattractive sex tourist. We have a bundle of cash but still nobody will even look at us. I feel sorry for us :(

It's Day One.

I know, but so many rejections already.

It's tough out on the streets!

yeah I think its the fact that we talked so big about how hard we were going to trade and after the season we have had we just want some freaking good news! We are more like the sex tourist that just got bashed after drinking too much and robbed of all our money and passport! :)

I'm not sure there have been so many rejections, just us not wanting to end up with gonorrhoea.

Howe, Blease, Trengove, Grimes, Watts, Jones

As opposed to the attractive sex tourist with no money.

Perhaps its our age or the blazer?

Howe, Blease, Trengove, Grimes, Watts, Jones

Weird comment...as this is a trading thread

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
