Game Day v Gold Coast

Good to see Tappie getting some reward. Also a nice tackle before by Grimesy.

Magner on - Morton off. Thank christ. At least Magner will look like his trying to stop Ablett

Feel sorry for Morton. Is that the last we have seen of him?

Morton subbed off for Magner. Anyone see what happened or was Abletts 400 possessions on Cale just too much for Neeld.

Suns down to two on the bench most likely.....

Trenners and Tappscott look ready to have a cracker today.

I'm loving Tappy's beard.

Both have played well, but it just shows how much better skills and decision making is with little or not pressure applied to you.

Sometimes you need that to build some confidence - which we havent had all season (hoping that confidence builds some late form).

Lowlight of the match thus far was Melbourne supporters cheering when Morton was subbed off.

Pathetic, even if you didn't realise he was injured.

Poor kid, I really feel for him.

Otherwise this game is a snooze fest of incompetence on both sides, with one side being slightly less shizen.

Didn't get any confidence after the GWS game.

I thought we woulda got some after the bombers game.

Typical old fossils in the MCC, love sinking the boot in when players like Morton, Watts come off. Pathetic really.

Any know Morton's prognosis?

I am not a Cale fan but that is ordinary. I would say ppl were looking at the stats Ablett was racking up on him and concluding he was being dragged.

My conclusion would be that there were a number of D'landers near the bench; putting the boot in while he is down is something a few on here are very adept at doing.

Not the 1st bloke Abletts racked a few possies on.

Also wondered if that was the last we see of Morton when he went of holding his arm.

Bit rough Jaded. Can only play who you're up against and we've outclassed them all over the ground and linked up well. Kicking at 74% isn't shizen. Can't have asked for alot more considering the personnel we have on the ground.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
