Elbow to the head sacrosanct says AFL

hope the afl gets sued by in coming years with its tolerance of headhunting teams like hawthorn. sickens me how taking out playmakers is seen as a legitimate, manly trait of our game by MRP and rulemakers. ball players like johnson and chapman will be front of the queue.

I agree - on another note watching this game reminds me how good footy can be. After watching our games week after week I forget what great footy looks like.

Suck it up, Hawthorn.

ps Matthews on Giles, Dipper on Flower, Guerra on Bruce... Dees don't forget.

Guerra who of course played for the Saints at the time...

nothing wrong with guerra's hit on pods. hit him in the chest, shouldn't even have been a free kick. umpire only called it because pods threw his head back.

Can't stand Geelong.

It's amazing to watch players work hard for each other.

Can't stand Geelong.

Can't stand Hawthorn anyone who was at the games in '87 & '88 knows exactly what I mean.

Edited by why you little

Guerra will get three for hit on Chapman, will get off on bump to Podsiadly and Shiel will get three for elbow off the ball on Christensen. I think there was another but I can't remember.

Great game though. Hawkins has really come of age. Took him a few years. I hope Cook gets a bit longer to see if he can make it.

True. Those two days in the stands are burned in my memory as a young lad.

I have forgotten a lot of things, but not that.

who took out the geelong player in their second last goal? it was slightly off camera. a high shot.

Glad that geelong won in the end, the love for hawthorn would have been nauseating

Now that Hawthorn and Geelong have played off for Bronze, Melbourne and the Schoolies will go for Gold and Silver.
