Changes for Gold Coast

OUT- Grimes, Trengove, Frawley

Let's let those 3 know that a better work rate and decision making is required to be at AFL standard and you cannot just take your position for granted and not show the likes of leadership and heart that Jones displays. I'd drop about 10 other players too and see what mud at the bottom we have left to put on the MCG. Because I doubt they'll do worse

You'd get rid of those three and keep that lazy bastard Sylvia ?

Unlike others I think this week's team selections will be fascinating. We've a month of the season to go, there will be major changes at season's end, we've got players such as Morton and Gysberts coming off good games and we're up against the Gold Coast at home. Chatting to my Brother today and he's convinced that if Morton and Gysberts are not selected for this game then you won't see them at the club next year. I think he's right. If you're not going to play these two players now they're definitely not in your future plans.

Totally agree and you can add Cook to that list.

i really dont care anymore. id rather finish lower and improve our picks. play the kids too

That sounds ominously like tanking to me.

We want no part of it.

Pick the players to give us the best chance of winning.

Nothing else is acceptable.

Until very recently, Williams has looked completely lost at VFL level. He's just starting to find his feet there and is miles off a senior gig.

I was wondering about Williams, He has been showing up in the best players in the VFL, Is a forward and the Player report on him are positive. But with your comment, might need more time. But it is Gold Coast, wouldnt hurt to give him a crack if he is fully fit.

Out Dunn Jetta Strauss McKenzie Sellar Spencer

In Watts Tynan Gysberts Morton Petterd Fitzpatrick

All good but not show about Fitzpatrick. Stick with Spencer and agree with the rest.

As an outside chance would like to see leigh Williams get a game.

No way !! Go for Williams and Cook and to hell with it!! They're our future with Jurrah and Clark next year. Common Neeld restore my faith..What's to lose?

Was talking to one of the assistant coaches at Port Melbourne who really rates Williams. He reckons that clubs try and close his run down and don't worry too much about Cook. Also reckons with another (and this time full) preseason behind him will be very good at AFL level.

Thank you Angry Dee,

Williams as a mature Rookie has massive raps from Norwood and South Australia. Had an absolute horror year with Back Injury and severe illness. If he's right to go why not pick him V Gold Coast. I know very little about Cook but everyone keeps talking about him.

So you're hoping that we don't just get beaten, we get flogged?

Yes agreed Robbie F=the worst changes I've ever seen.

Apart from Williams. Why not try him?

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well …

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
