Out of the side again this week... The writing is in the wall/

Can't get a game in the weakest Melbourne side in years.

Will be gone at years end.

This is a real enditment on mark neeld.

Tore away his leadership role, stopped his mid year boxing school and couldn't teach him how to play a defensive game.

.

Regardless of what an enditment may or may not be, have you ever considered that Neeld didn't rate his leadership? Or his little boxing camp FFS! We had a few years of that crap and what did it produce?

This is a real enditment on mark neeld.

big loss for Melbourne and a huge win for whoever picks him up for next to nothing/

Disagree on both counts.

The fact he won the B&F last year was indictment on the previous FD, who seemed to think very good performances against very ordinary sides and mediocre or poor performances against everyone else was worthy of the highest club honour.

Neeld can't change the fact he is incredibly slow.

Whichever club decides to pick him up, if he leaves and if anyone takes him, will be disappointed.

A once decent player unable to keep up with the speed of the modern game.

All of the above was said about Colin Sylvia earlier this year.......A lot of posters said that he should be moved on....delisted....traded to anyone who would have him......He has now found some form and it's very quiet all of a sudden....Moloney is out of form for whatever reason and I for one believe that he will turn his form around and should be kept on the list.....If he goes it will bite us on the bum....and every one here will be saying Why did we let him go?????....What were the FD thinking??????

Even when he won the B&F expert posters on here wre calling him a flat track bully......If you don't like him...fine...but this year was told to lose weight....be more defensive....and completely change your game....This is difficult for more senior players.

Ahhhhhhhh Demonland....

If you're in any way involved with MFC it doesn't matter what you do, someone will find a way to turn it into a negative and bag you out.

He may go, he may stay, he's definitely struggling with form for whatever reason, but he plays for OUR team and the way some of you little internet bit@*s carry on and on is MUCH worse than the sulking you falsely accuse Beamer of.

No his overall performance over the year was simply better than anyone else

Dont for a minute should anyone consider the jury in on Sylvia either just yet.

Rest of season is all about player evaluation !!...... Theres nothing else to gain.

Just shows how poor we really are. Yes Beamer won last years B & F. But without B & F form...

I reckon given how he started (pre-season stupidity, injuries etc) he's built enough momentum to be kept for next year.

Neeld knows we desperately need talent.

Yes we need talent..... Oh how we need talent and with that needs to come 100% effort. You may only get 75-80% effectiveNess but you need 100% effort.

Some of our players don't currently provide that.

Sorry mate i don't put too much on the brownlow either. The umpires are far too busy keeping up with the game.

The Charlie is a glitzy media event.

Beamer was good in a crap team last year. Cudo's to him for last year.

I guess the question is why has he is struggling so much this year?

and can he pull himself out of it?

Beamer was ok with a Bailey largesse

Beamer struggles with Neelds new plan and expectations .

Its up to him

Reckon Col's efforts have been improving A LOT this year, actually think he's been putting in the most effort he has for a long time but the gameplan is harder than it has been previously for his style so his stats aren't as high as previously.

Hopefully you get what I'm trying to say there!

I agree and it does take time to change the way you have been playing for the past 6 years through 1 pre season

The flaws as I've heard bandied about on Beamer are

  • lack of defensive skills (and application)
  • lack of speed and endurance (a plodder)
  • too old to remedy above
  • Not interested in new gameplan
  • [censored] off at FD re leadership demotion...

Would another pre-season with his full and humble buy in get him through the above challenges? If Col Sylvia is another example, he does seem to have turned the corner (turned up) after injury and average form made him look gone...

Yes.

Different footballer, but it's too early to give up on Beamer.

The FD have some serious work ahead sorting those who can from those that cant or wont from those that might yet still and those that are just list deadwood.

I suspect that Beamer (and others) who may find themselves close to being traded or delisted at the end of this year will be highly motivated to have a rip snorting pre-season and be looking for redemption in 2013.

Hopefully Neeld understands the power of this.

So i gather you rate the Brownlow? Ever since Dipper & Greg Williams shared it i have taken little notice.

Each to their own. The red carpet is given more promotion now anyway!!

Ive given up expecting what is logical or surely a foregone outcome wrt this club. Ill wait and see
