Wow Cale Morton, just wow

I must say ive not been much for him ( though mainly its a wasted talent ) but he seems very much one of the few able to find, , create and use some space. He doesnt have many mates today

wasnt going to even be able to watch this but an illness meant i could get home earlier from Gipps. I do wish I wasnt watching !!

A goal would be nice. Just one goal.

Don't hold your breath... if we think it's ugly now, I dread to think how it will be looking coming the final siren.

Hear we come pml

Howe nice it is

Morton is far from the worst out there.

Howe good is this bloke ?? a rare bright spark amongst the gloom

Had to give them a head start to make it fair

Morton - No.4 pick in 2007. What has he developed into? He is a soft and spineless player! I have never seen him win a contested possession.

as such I agree...but today he is actually one of the few to do anything constrcutive with the pill...as damning as it is commmendable. just what is.

too many Melbourne blokes standingaround waiting for the hand off

following the worm on AFL.com at work.....

8.9 is flattering us

Trengove needs a week or 2 at casey.

Yeah it's beyond a joke now. So slow and clumsy.

Attention all Melbourne players: When you mark the ball, do not turn your back on play. Turn around to face your forward line and run backwards quickly to give yourself room to kick and see all options forward.

At least the 2nd was an improvement. We had a real crack.

The Filth know where the ball is going to be. We must learn that skill.

C'mon Mark Neeld. Fire them up.

Don't understand the Morton hate. Log on to this thread and see him getting canned. wtf? He's probably been our best today.

Just hope we can keep fight the game out and keep the margin under 7 goals or so.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
