If this is the best Beamer can muster as he shops himself around he'll be lucky to get a one-year, minimum wage deal as a top-up player at GWS.

Moloney is either a very ordinary footballer or he cannot be arsed learning the Neeld gamestyle. I really do want him out of this side.

Pathetic effort from Beamer. Ran an arc to the ball. His man ran a straight line and beat him to it.

Also, no way in hell was that ball out. Cost us a potential goal. Shocking call.

Agree with everything.

Pity that we had to activate our sub so early - Beamer would be a certainty to be subbed off were one available.

Bloody close but yeah it looked in. Chip should've nailed his shot outside 50, been an average day for him. Beamers last effort was terrible, MUST make amends start of the last.

Fight dees!!!!

Remember in the first half when we used the corridor... Those were the days

Floodgates creaking badly.

How can McLean looks so good at CFC but so bad for us? I guess not being number 1 mid may be the difference.

Well that's it.

We went into our shells, second guessed our kicks, went back to the boundary and stopped attacking.

I hope that wasn't under coaches instructions.

Once again, our worst quarters are the 2nd and 4th. Clearly our fitness is one of the biggest limiting factors in our performance.

Everyone flying for the contest again -- no crumbier except Betts

When will they ever learn?

Interesting point. A lot in it i reckon.

Right there is why Watts has questions on him. 2nd game player holds him up Watts handbills fwd, Boutsma went a 2nd time and we turned it over, as Tim Watson has just noted!!!

Cale Morton should take note of Josh Bootsma. Incredibly, Bootsma is even skinnier than Morton yet in one and half games has shown more of a willingness to put his body on the line than Morton ever has.

I had similar thoughts myself -- he looked satisfied that he got rid of the ball and didn't follow up.

Judd breaking the tag.

Bloody hell -- Magner's head knocked off -- not high contact???

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
