Demons Raid angers Magpies

Love the fact that we are more aggressive than what we used to be. Bold and good to hear. We must. Not be walked on ever again.

Also good to stick it up the filth or at least keep them on their toes.

Mark Neeld bids to beef up his Collingwood entourage

Go Dees

It must never be forgotten, or should i say, we must remind ourselves Collingwood is a suburb of Melbourne. It is time for this club to go out and get whatever it takes to win multiple Flags as we have done. The supporters have cleared the debt. Now do it.

Yes and they're a pretty crappy little suburb as well.

Woah there, I live in said suburb, and given it takes me 25 minutes to walk to the MCG, 30 to walk to the city, 20 minutes on the tram to Etihad, and 10 minutes on the bike to AAMI park/Gosch's paddock, you'd want to live somewhere pretty f***ing special to make me move there......

Not to mention you can get to centrelink within 3 minutes every second Wednesday plus your dealer lives next door!

Well said Webber!

You and I both know that since they got rid of the Nuff Nuffs and encouraged thelikes of us" to make Collingwood home.

The place has become "Gentrified" and just a short stroll or jog to the "G" and Gosch's Paddock.

And Demon 16 there are Drug Dealers everywhere. Probably more so in your location of London.

Thank god it was somebody outside who calls us the "next superpower", what an embarassing statement to have hanging over us.

How was Leigh Brown pinched from Collingwood? As far as I know he was a retired player when offered a role at MFC or can't you take a new job after you've resigned from Collingworld? Insecure bunch over there!

Who still maintains Neeld didn't already have someone in mind when Barry 'left' the club?

AH...yes.... theres still a few stories tocome out one day I suspect :)

lovely to see we are Hunters and not Prey !!

If they are so unhappy about losing people then why don't they get Malthouse back? Serious. They need to get real.

Everyone at Collingwood is jumping off the sinking ship. Malthouse, Brown, Nicholls, Pendlebury or Cloke may head to GWS, and even Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan has announced he's leaving! (in 2014).

I'm not exaggerating their demise in hopes of it actually happening, am I? :)

Stuff em'. Leave no prisoners. If we lose the home game on Queens Birthday because of it then so be it. We've been to passive for too long, time to get a bit of grit and get stuck in.

Interesting that they would bother to get upset while he's under contract.

He must be gone from the pies next year, else they would just offer him more money or try to entice him to stay.

Don't forget to include Neeld and Scotty Watters to that list. A lot have left, not to mention their injuries!!

I love when collingwood cry it makes me feel like its christmas morning

It's about time clubs made them feel like they're not invincible!!!

It starts from the top and fat head McGuire is the biggest cry baby of the lot!

I wonder if the Eddie is going to go around saying (re: Pendlebury) that "The tom toms are beating very, very strong that the deal is done ... there's no talk coming from management, but in the old days onThe Footy Show I might have been walking out rubbing my hands together saying we've got the best story of the year." Or should I say "The Scott Scotts are beating"?

It will be terrific until Collingwood decide that the Queen's Birthday game should be shared.

So be it. We can't continue on in fear with Collingwood standing over us waiving a big stick. Time this club stood on its own two feet. If we rely that heaviliy on Queens Birthday for revenue then we need to lift our game!

Yes i agree why should we care about what collingwood are doing time to stand on our own 2 feet

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
