Have noticed that the Melbourne Jumper has been getting a bit of air time lately, with the foxtel ad and the young lass wearing it proudly, and the trojan horse ad with the ol boy in Dee's jumper (14 was that Grinter), this has gotta be good for our club in some form i would hope, even in the smallest of way's it's a positive I reckon and another step forward even if it's just a coincidence. Any body no if we where in someway involved with our jumper being used?……Go DEE'S

id agree with this. but since the eddie ad on foxtel says that footy is the best thing god invented and ignores the great melbourne football club id say probably not.

of course....if god invented footy - that makes the MFC god.

Maybe research suggests that there will be a lot of excitement over the 'Demons' during 2012, and we have a lot of games not on Prime time free to Air, so that could make our supporters good 'Tar gets' for the Fox sales team, and the more obsessive types frequent the 'footy forum boards'. These are more likely to 'spend' to get what they want.

I look at the Trojan ad differently. I reckon they needed the most out of date, irrelevant jumper for the out-of-it loser in the ad, so they immediately went to the old demons guernsey with the long sleeves. Still, exposure is exposure.

Was cycling around the Swan river today and as I came through Applecross there was a group of cyclists and low and behold one was wearing the Red & Blue the old LG sponsored Fila jumper but brought a smile to my face

Just cause I think they think that, doesn't mean I think it.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
