The question then is why? Did we not think it worthwhile this season when every other club has launched ads/had membership drives on SEN?

It had crossed my mind.

I don't think all clubs have done it.

To any melbourne fan who has not yet got a membership please show your passion for this club by getting a membership today. We have had a hard start to the year but mark neeld is showing our players what a strong club is made off. If BIG JIM was still with us we all know he would be very proud to know that all demons fans belive in his vision for our great club to get 40,000 members. Im sure some fans dont have the money to buy a membership but im sure you can talk to the club to get a 3 game membership or do what my family does and get a direct debit membership, I have a Trident membership and im not Rich but when you pay $35 a month it's not so hard and if you got just a normal membership it would be maybe $20 a month. And it is cheaper for Concessions card holders. So please all true demon fans get on board now because if you want to be the best the more money and members you have the stronger your club will be. So dont sit back and wait for the good time's make sure you can say when the chips were down i was there for the club i love. That shows a true fan of the red and blue in my eyes. We all know the demons will have there day soon.

1300 DEMONS OR GO TO THE MFC WEBSITE.

It's probably been explained, but why this obsession with comparing our current tally with that of StKildas?

No real obsession. Of recent times our club has only bettered the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne of the Melbourne teams. StKilda could be the third.

Wow...so that whole SEN push netted less than 100 members or is that 24 hours yet to be counted?

What dc said.

As an aside, not sure if you're up with the latest radio ratings, but not everyone listens to minnow SEN.

Im really amazed 6,000 members did not renew. We may be playing bad but them fans are hurting our football department spending which we all no is very important to build a strong club so pull your fingers out and get on board NOW. We need you so come out the closet and be a real fan which is a member of the MFC. Memberships start from $8 a month YOU CAN DO IT

We'll hit 50,000 members once we get a bit of success.

Seriously, I'm a member but i can understand why we are stagnating.

Give us 3 premierships in 5 years (Geelong style) and watch demon supporters come out of the woodwork.

It's pretty unbelievable we even have 34,000 members after 50 years of rubbish

Yes...so why pick that station??

Goes both ways.

The connection with the OX i imagine, it also isnt easy to hijack fox or MMM ect for a club membership drive i would imagine.

Also if you click on the graph on this link it has some apparent data or surveys on membership numbers,

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=911373&page=64

MFC with roughly 180K supporters lowest ahead of GWS and GC, 35K of which are members,

roughly 1-5 supporters are members which is very very solid conversion

...really?

Yes if they want us to get better it's simple support your team

Didn't renew...... sorry......

Wasn't about the money, but was about dragging a 8 and 6 year old to games they know we are going to lose. It's just not fair on them...... AND I'm not spending money on something they won't use

Yes i know all those figures...but less than 100 applications for a blanket coverage day is not good.

We will not get too many 2012 Members i fear....Friday will not help...Advance Sorry's to Maurie for not being positive enough but reality is where we are!!

You don't need to convince me, but the drop in numbers doesn't surprise me in the least considering a 4 year rebuild that was for nought and the fact a mere win this season appears a pipe dream. Some supporters have had enough. I'm not sure I really blame them.

Yes...so why pick that station??

Because they invite all Melbourne clubs to have membership days being a sports station.

You should have known that, seeing as you spruik the station and all it's ads ......Mr Frank Walker from National Tiles......

Yes i know all that HT, still does not hide the fact we attracted less than 100 memberships yesterday.

I think Frank infiltrates many Radio Waves...

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
