Who was it ? TS ?

Restrictions imposed by the mods prevent me from giving his name.

I was just going to list 'Jack' as my favourite players given that covers about half our team.

BTW I can seem similarities between Sam Blease and that bloke wot has gone to Rooty Hill, so I hope after a couple of rounds next year I'll be adding him to my favs.

Edit post doesn't appear to work in IE8, when I click the Save Changes button nothing happens, same when I click the Use Full Editor button.

I'm surprised it doesn't work in IE8. I'll check when I back at work tomorrow. Might I suggest you take this opportunity to switch to Firefox or Google Chrome. Much better and safer browsers.

Edit - I just edited this post using IE8

Indeed but not SOE at work.

One thing that is quite good is the 'bolding' of the topic name when a new post has been entered since the last time you were in there.

Very clever.

I just logged into my work computer and the site doesn't look as smooth on IE8 or Windows for that matter than it does on a Mac. Even in Chrome and Firefox on Windows it is not as pretty. It looks very smooth on my iMac.

Moral of the story .... get a Mac. :P

i must remember to speak to the boss about that. :)

You will find little things like that will make your browsing experience better over time.

Just a reminder that if you want to be taken to the first new post since your last visit then click the little circle or star on the letter side of the topic name in the forum topic index list. Saves time scrolling down to it.

Hi Andy,

One thing that has me a bit confused (as to whether it is my end or server-side) is the post dates. I have my profile set up as Melb Time (even though Hobart based) which is +10 hrs but the time on all the posts is an hour ahead of actual time. For instance your post above says Posted Today, 12:57pm.

I tried toggling DLS mode below it to see if it would trigger anything, but doesn't appear to have.... Am I missing something?

Cheers, and I agree the new site looks great. Have done quite a bit of forum/message board development in the past and upgrades are never as smooth as they claim it to be, especially something this size.

There seems to be a forum settings section misssing. Posts displayed per page, show/don't sigs/avatars, etc.

Is it a matter of 'it's on the list', or, 'working as intended' ?

My time is displaying correctly. I have +10 selected without any of the DST clicked.

Were you able to do this before? I know i can set it in the admin settings but can individual users do it customise their preferences. I know i can do it on other forums but not sure if we were ever able to do it here. Let me know and i will look into it.

Hi Andy,

Just another comment on the IPB app which was brilliant on the old version but just like safari with this one.

Cheers

Because I knnow that fellow posters like Billy will be mortified unles corrected.......not al the Emoticons are there or working

How do you get your avatar back?

you have to edit your "profile picture"now

As opposed to your avatar as no provision seems avail now for that per se

oh..and an also

At the bottom of each forum there used to be an opportunity via a drop down choice to go to this forum of that etc. . Now none exists andn you have to scrol lback to top of page and select forums and then the other forum of choice. ( now that would have been a sad face except none can be chosen..lol )

Good afternoon Andy.

Now mate you are pulling my chain right?

The red is the same red the MFC used in the jumper.

It looks pink!!!

Can we have the previous red colour back please?

Good work Andy. Like the new skin. The editor works well. I had to upload my avatar again, but no big drama.

I actually prefer 'plain' emoticons rather than the demon ones. Maybe it's just my preference for commonality with other sites and lack of clutter.

If we are down to arguing about the shade of red or pink, then not much is wrong with the rest of it. ^_^

No!

That was fluro red.

That is not the colour we wear.

Computer screen red and red are two different colours.

The RGB value of the red in the current Demonland panel is 204:0:51. The red the club is using on its website is 153:26:51, if that is of any help.

Now I know this wil lbe laughed at but I reckon the red on the MFC is actually a bit too crimson ( and I reckon it is also on the emblem)

but hey its not end of world stuff

as Maurie highlights....there are but 10's of thousands of reds.

Is it my imagination or is the site as a whole running quicker also. New box ? as well as dice perhaps . ( now I would haveput a smiley face there..or evern a rolleyes..but alas...cough !! ) lol

Top stuff guys... youdo marvels to run such anccomploished site...the envy of the 'unofficial" league id think .

rustic brown now ???

or Shiraz?? Claret ??

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
