Someone had to say it

Very happy with that selection - great to see Fitzy there.

Yes, good on Fitzy.

dee-luded would be spitting chips, no doubt.

Good to see Fitz debut.

Joel Mac has come in for Scully, apparently.

Joel Mac has come in for Scully, apparently.

he came into the squad of 25 to be an emergency.

Great to see Fitzy Debut, all the best. Bate should be sub.

Pick 4 & Wooden spoon or Pick 6 ? hrmmm. I think they'd rather win myself.

I think they're gonna have to settle for pick 4.

Tom Scully general soreness. Whatever. We should make him play and if he hurts himself further its not our problem. Let GWS and there brilliant medical team deal with him.

I guess that will have people talking. Anyway glad to see Fitzpatrick debut.

Yeah thats the spirit. Lets get him.

I'd start Bate and have Bail as sub. Stick Bate in the midfield and put him on notice that there is a nice red vest waiting for him the moment he is not contributing strongly. Give Bail a shorter game time after his layoff and Casey ressies x1 - Casey seniors x1 return. Let him add speed when we need it.

That's what I mean.

Port coming off a near miss against Essendon. Playing in Adelaide, albeit at Adelaide Oval. Sending off Dean Brogan. Desperate to get off the bottom, since draft picks are compromised by GWS.

Melbourne struggled to beat the Gold Coast at the MCG. Playing without much confidence. Haven't won in Adelaide for 10 years.

If Melbourne starts favourite, the footy punters will have gone mad.

They HAVE gone mad. I don't think the broader footy world understand just how bad Melbourne are at the moment. Port Adelaide by 6 goals minimum, and in a canter.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
