From what others have voted for the 76 point defeat at the hands of Carlton

Is is concerning to see how poor our current leadership group polled

Thought it was an important game for the club

Hope the next coach does a Blighty and brings a broom

Rivers? as in Jared, Number 27 right?

Correct. Check Kreuzer's stats - 4 kicks 7 handballs at just a touch over 70% effective. 4 marks for the game when plenty of ball was coming his way. Rivers held up very well, and although he is an easy bloke to criticize, he played a decent game yesterday.

6 - Watts

5 - Trengove

4 - MacDonald

3 - Garland

2 - Strauss

1 - Howe

Strauss? Idea of a bad joke? Good luck to the young fella. Hope he recovers and gets back to earn 'real' votes.

As to mine,

6. Watts

5. Trengove

4. Garland

3. Frawley (not obvious offensively, but kept the dangerous Walker quiet)

2. Petterd (I like him going on ball occasionally)

1. Gysberts

dont forget that all important ONE tackle !! phoar !! Must forget... of those 4 kicks he held up 2 long enough to get a pie. I think Carlton fell asleep waiting fo rthe ball to come in afterwards  and by all means Jared ...its much preferable to kick to outweighed contest...yes siree bob !!

If it was for the coupl eof decent fist aways each game I truly wonder as to his worth.

Yes, folks, im not his greatest fan. I'll come clean. Hes slow off the mark now ( been that way for a few seasons, just what is) Opponents easily get in fornt of him and his second efforts..are.... sporadic. Its a damn shame as fewer read the ball better than he does. Its infuriating to watch at times.

I ask you...would Jared have attempted to chase down Garlett ??

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
