Furious Eddie calls for investigation !!

Adelaides Phil Davis is off to GWS. Hes come out and told us all. He says he's signed. But the wiley Sheedy and dastardly powers that be at GWS deny anything "offical" for you see there can be nothign 'official" as they cant "officially' sign anyone currently . Dems da rools !! So sayeth the AFL and they are never deceitful, the AFL, always on teh up and up !! definitely, without doubt

Persoannly I think its hilarious that Eddie's got his kniockers in a knot about this. Does this mean Eddie there are shiftier people than your good self ??

Its always been suspected that in order for teh GWS to conduct its game of intrigue and gueriilla warfare that it almost must by circumstance either operate outside of the jurisdiction of teh AFL or indeed with its bleessings. ...or BOTH !! Im not an overly betting man but Im going with C) Lock it in Eddie..C for BOTH !!

What does this mean to clubs other than Adelaide ? WHo else is out there packing bags and sifting through Tourist guides to Scenic Western Sydney ?

We all have our suspicions. Indeed our own beloved club is not immune to the scaremongering of impending departures, if indeed its only rumour and not a signed sealed deed already.. But then it coulndt be as nothing can be signed, not this year, not yet. But we can see plainly before us that theres a lot of rules being broken and I wil lcede that Macguire, indeed, any clubs officilas and supporters ought to be fuming at such underhandedness. But to be surprised ? No. Im not.

Davis is but the first to put his hand up. Brave lad. I'l ltake my hat off to him though theres a sort of twisated decency in his honesty ( now ) . Adelaide know their fate and can plan accordingly. Other await their fate.

But back to the opening tenet. GWS are cheating. Why does this surprise anyone.

It does beg the question of what some clubs already know but arent game to announce just yet. Just how much is the AFL prepared to go unbridled ?

Get used to it Eddie.... seems you dont run the game after all !

It all reminds me of that scene in Good Morning Vietnam where Robin Williams tries to report censored wartime events by saying "unofficially" before every sentence.

"One thing that didn't officially happen today is a bomb didn't officially explode at 13:00 hours and 23 people weren't offically killed".

It's become like that in the world of football at the moment and it's gotten ludicrous.

Why does this happen? Because the powers that be want to treat us all like children who, to use another movie line, can't handle the truth.

I also tip my hat to Phil Davis for manning up and coming clean. Shows a lot of character that. Unlike some others.

I don't think he is so brave. He is injured and out for the rest of the season anyway.

I'm 100% with Eddie. GWS are cheating. They've got massive concessions to pillage existing club lists under the rules. They need to follow the AFL rules.

Of course theyre cheating. Hardly news. . But how incredulous of the masses to suppose they couldnt have been. Whats more you watch the AFL duck and weave. They are complicit by direction in all of this. They created the occasion, the setting and the motives to do so. And whats worse in in their ( Vlads) interest they do so as to seure the names on which Vlad hangs his hat of success for GWS on. All terrribly incestuous and worthy of a Caligulan orgy.

Still...he could hve stayed hidden amongst the background. He didnt, kudos at least for that. Adelaide now know where they stand.. Other clubs dont.

Agree and very interested in the Caligulan Orgy.

Seriously, there is no such thing as "cheating" or "breaking the rules" when the AFL is seeking a particular outcome or result.

If this link is correct and everyone in here think Scully has a change in heart after agreeing with GWS last year specially ranger rover and that made him have a press conference i think the chances of tom scully staying get a massive boost

From the link provided:

..." we haven't got the final details in terms of the specifics of the contract."
.."We've been going through a discussion with Phil's manager and we presented an in-principle guide to what we're prepared to offer, effectively."

Geez, 'in-principle guide offer' and 'specifics of contract' in most languages mean the same thing.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

PREGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

After two disappointing back to back losses the Demons have the bye in Round 14 and then face perennial cellar dweller North Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday night in Round 15. Who comes in and who goes out?

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.
