Me either. Apart from highlighting the startling lack of awareness on Maric's behalf. This kid has a massive question mark over his head.

brb making thread about whipping boy Addam after getting pantsed by 190 points

Posted

Isn't he indicative of a list of players that looked they were going to 'develop' and they've gone backwards?

Well I agree with that, he's a dud who isn't going to make it.

But I don't see how, after losing by 31 goals with 0 winners on the ground, we need to single out Maric. I don't like him and I don't rate him, but he doesn't deserve that.

We had 22 players plus a stack of coaches and other associated on-field teams who are all responsible, and who all have let us, themselves, and the club, down.

Wayne, we do not do the non-negotiables. We looke dlike we were last year, but this year we ahve fallen away so badly.

True - but why does he get a game? He's not the future...how much proof does the FD need that he's NQR?

We lose by 186 points and we single out our forward pocket and dedicste a thread to it and then bag him. Some on this site are as pathetic as the demons performance today!

No, there was just a chat about an incident that involved a player who's been around for a while and hasn't really developed. I suppose that there will be plenty of time to discuss the list at the end of the year.

That was the dumbest effort I saw on the worst day I've seen.

But unfortunately half our side probably shouldn't be getting a game after the last few weeks.

Let's turn on each other Lord of the Flies style.

With regards to the incident, he slowed down as he did not have an option going forward. The reason he didn't have an option was because for some reason we had our two "tall forwards" in the backline! Both Jurrah and Watts did not start in the forward line????

I reckon this is the point.

With negative tactics like playing Jurrah and Watts in defence, there are no targets when players break away from defence. Of course they're undecided as to what to do. If they just blast it forwards to a nest of defenders, it looks just as bad as being caught with the ball.

We must never use this demoralising tactic.

Ok so this wasn't meant as a maric bash but more about how indicative that piece of play was for where the team is. Apologies to AM that it just happened to be him. But it was bad and this sort of thing's been happening for years throughout the team. And nothing looks like changing.

Is this thread for F$%^ing real?

Yup. And the point of this thread is not to blame maric but to think how when we had a chance to attack today we had no clue. This a coaching issue as much as a playing issue. And things need to change. This incident happened midway through the first and pretty much sealed it.

How none of his teammates warned him is more of an issue

I was disgusted that he got caught, not because of Adam, but of his team mates failing.

Protect the ball carrier ! I'm not sure who it was possibly (Petterd), but there was a team mate who was in a position to provide a sheppard and they just was running along side. That was Sh*t, You have to blame the coaches. That should be trained into them so it becomes natural.
