Here's one for you Jazz.

“Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times.” Sam Clemens (aka Mark Twain)

One smoke wont hurt Jazza.

The tobacco industry needs you, relies on you.

A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.

DAY 20 big boy.

Fresh as a daisy,

Twenty days!!! At a pack a day that's over $400 in your kick. Are you buying the drinks on Sunday?

But yes, sunday quite happy to shout a round after the game.

Coffee, beer, wine, sex these are some of the triggers for the craving to smoke.

You'll have to quit the lot.

Does that include doing them on your own, particularly the last one? Couldn't possibly give that one up.

I notice that this thread is approaching 452 pages which was Sir Donald Bradman's highest first class score.

Surely, the time has come for us to do a Matthew Hayden and put an end to this thread at that number of pages to honour the great man?

Plenty of other threads you can worry about WJ, leave this one alone.

It has reached that many pages because people enjoy it.

Why stop there? We could keep going to 700 pages to honour Mick Malthouse. Or 1360 to honour the number of goals kicked by Lockett. Or 4137 to honour Lindrum's highest-ever billiards break.

In fact, you can now stop hiding your face in shame.

Thanks for the help{i think}pangs down to twice per day and lessoning,i run into the smartalecs who say things like"oh its wonderful after a week you feel so much better blah blah fcuknblah".thats absolute krap,i feel horrible at least twice per day with these rotten feelings within and nothing can alter the brainwaves. It seems to be so horrible at times i could drive the 15 ks to town and kill for a [censored].And then the feeling disappears for 10-12 hours. So after 41 years of paying for my addiction,im hoping its over.

You mean Mark Taylor surely, who declared when he was on 334 ... I say lets worry about it only when we are approaching 1107 pages, the world record first class score by Victoria, and even then only to find a better excuse to keep going

In honour of your beanie, I'll be wearing my 70s royal blue Dees beanie, 2014 members scarf, black jacket and of course the beard.

But what is the secret handshake?:blink:

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
