Perhaps we shouldn't.

Here are the options as I see it Redleg.

- We except the Current

- We fight the people who we need $millions from to survive and a priorty Pick at year end.

My decision is go with the white jumper.

missing the point od

[1]. mfc vs giants - both use regular jumpers - conclusion = no clash

[2].giants vs mfc - mfc wear clash strip, giants wear regular - conclusion = clash

so how do you accept that od? which one to accept, point [1] or point [2]?

Perhaps we shouldn't.

I agree

I seriously think the club ought make a stand one game where theres NO REAL clash and we accidentally ( Football depts being what they are sometimes  ) turn up to a game with only our REAL jumpers..as a fait accompli.

They can fine us they can get shirty and we will tell everyone enough of this bullshlt...enough.

They wont forfeit the game they would have to let it go ahead and then theyd realise what a crock of shlt it all is.

Sometimes progress is only made by breaking the so called rule of the day.

AD just said our game Anzac eve won't happen.

Too hard when Anzac day falls early in the week.

Eddie said first! Eddie told the AFL to get stuffed over jumpers! Essendon wasn't paying Golden Boy! Some clubs do as they please while we bend over and are the recipient of a painful insertion.

I understand you dc

What I am trying to tell you is we would be fighting city hall.

GWS are the AFL team

We are paupers who depend on the AFL for our existence.

Until we are profitable and a power in the league we are powerless,

The MFC board / management will not fight on this subject.

We will just have to suck it up for the next five years minimum.

End of story I am afraid

Stop it Bitty, you'll get Biff excited with talk like that!

AD does realise that that makes no sense whatsoever !!! What ever logic he applies to the eve game must surely apply to the day game.

Another Vlad fail.

You are missing the real reason bb

Channel 7 did not want it.

good job AD is f'ing off then. Maybe another bloke can sell the game better

The point I was making was that the Suns weren't forced to wear that anemic mainly white strip last Sunday but when we go over there, we're forced to wear white. It doesn't make any sense.

No, it doesn't make any sense, but it is the AFL we are talking about ... :) I did notice that Hawthorn wore a white abomination when they played the Suns at Metricon (and I think the Suns wore something similar in their MCG game against us last year).

Too easy an excuse for mine ...

A quick hit of the delete button and they will be gone, if that is the case.

I sincerely hope it is not over that quick tonight it is a long trek in the cold to the MCG if it is over as I expect by 8PM.

Just back from camp and immediately see that the level of discourse has not leapt out of the gutter .

I just have to ask Biff - what was the nature of this "camp"?

I cannot disclose the full nature of this one although it is not Lordweavers'Chrtistian re-education service nor was it one forced upon me by the Justice Department.

It did involve beer, children ,and a river-in order of importance.

Nobody was killed but several of the children suffered minor injuries,

An overall success in my books.

I just knew your ears would pick up hearing the word 'camp' Bitty.

Channel manager would be a walk in the park for bb

could do it during my lunch breaks.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
