Why our first ranga PM has her head stuck in Gawny's armpit is a mystery to me ... :) (not to mention Shorten's satanic look :o )

DF, I think your nickname should be "Google Images", as it seems you can find an image to suit any occasion ...

I think Ms Gillard was a dogs person (She hates us)

Moonie did say I did not do enough footy related pictures and I know BBO will love this one as well.

Romsey people loved the Ex PM.

DF, like Kim Wells you must live in a very "optics" world

Which may not be for that much longer if i don't put shoes and pants on when I go out side.

My friend was see where I walk with bare feet and short pants.

But they do say a picture is worth 1,000 words.

Oh who is Kim Wells and his he a Dees man?

You don't sleep much, and you have given me enough insight into pond life to have some concerns for your mental health.

Sorry Biff but Dee Supporters are only high on life. Not sure that Meth Coast or MessyDrug Supporters do these days.

You try and sleep when your Rottweiler and Dalmatian plus three cats want to be feed. Plus the wife ring you at 4.30am to discuss what she saw in the back yard.

But yes I do have mental health issue. After being a Dees supporter for the past 15 years has had a toll. Especially over last seven years. That why I am on this forum, for group therapy.

Really!

What your comment.

Oh well life goes on

oh well if you can't work it out

Emergency Services Minister Kim Wells has admitted he made an error spending last Friday evening at the Australian Open while dozens of bushfires burnt across the state.

3AW radio this morning revealed that while bushfires, including the large fire in the Grampians spread, the Minister was at the tennis rather than being at the State Control Centre.

Authorities had warned that fire danger would increase when the cool change arrived on Friday night.

"I would need to seriously consider how I do that in the future. I guess the optics of it is that something that I would need to consider," Mr Wells told 3AW.

Make sure your friend doesnt go inside and get into your shoes and shorts first.

A neighbour of mine picked up his overalls that had been lying unused since the last fire and found a similar relative ready to help. Did so by raising his adrenalin to operating level. Another neighbour (we are talking 10K farm property)was bitten by a black at 4.00 in the morning when he went out in thongs to fix a recalcitrant water pump. nearly killed him

He was an experienced farmer and had never seen snakes out at night. We all make sure we tread carefully now.

Yeah I don't want to demean him as he is well aware of snakes but hadn't seen them there.

But I guess the point of it is you cant afford to get too blase.

He'd been out at that pump so many times and just didn't think about precautions at that time of night and in the irritation of not having any water.

It's just like the worksafe ads you need to be alert at all times especially in the country.

They say up here its good to have a black as they are generally more timid than Tigers who tend to be a bit aggressive and a black being a bit more territorial will keep the tigers and browns away

Is beginning to sound like footy thread with all this talk of tigers, browns and blacks.

Do we have any snakes in the dees list???

I was walking up my drive way and early one morning to get the paper and was not wearing my glasses.

I noticed a stick in the middle of the driveway in the corner of my eye and thought how strange that was

Walking back to the house I notice the stick was actually a tiger snake and my dog was coming up the driveway towards me.

Another time I was at home and grabbed a blanket to lay down in the lounge room. I notice as I pulled the blacked to me were was a round coil which I thought was very strange, then it moved. It took me three days to find it in the house due to its small size.

My house is in the country and close to a number of farms and the Murray River.

I come close to stepping on snakes on a number of occasions over the years.

But never seen so many snakes in my life when I was in Madagascar. They are everywhere. Good thing is they are not dangerous.

I not see Tigers be aggressive.

I personally think they are not, but that not to say they will not rear up when threaten.

The one my wife saw today just moved away from here. If it was the same snake I saw five years ago I was within a meter of it when it was getting dark and he moved away from me as well. Beautiful looking snake with black on the top and a bright yellow belly.

There is one guy who has the name snake in DL that I know of.

I would just like to set the record straight on my lunch with Biffen as mentioned on the training thread.

We did not go to The Gat as Biffen insisted he knew a classy place. It was hidden away in a dark alleyway. The clientele were a combination of ne er- do- wells, streetwalkers taking a break, and meth heads.

Biffen chose the wine which was poured from 2 litre plastic containers. He said the better wines only came in 2 litres while the lesser quality stuff was in drums.

I became suspicious of the food when I noticed strange green spots on the dinner rolls. Biff assured me this was OK. I cannot remember what I ate. I suspect my memory has been suppressed as a sanity defence mechanism.

I paid, and now both my credit card and Biffen are missing.

This should have been posted alongside your post in the training thread so as to inform your readers of how much credibility they should have given to its content.

For god's sake man.

Some people over there think you were actually seriously dissecting the training session when it's obvious that you wrote about it in the middle of a drunken stupor!

Actually, no ... it's better placed right here. :)

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int

    POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood

The Dees played insipid, error riddled & uninspiring footy all night and in a lightning delayed match they eventually succumbed to Collingwood by 46 points at the MCG in the final game of the year. Thank God this season is finally over. Bring on 2025.

    LAST DANCE by The Oracle

Forget the wishful thinking from Magpie fans who think their team can perform yet another miracle and somehow snatch a place in the 2024 finals series when their team takes on the Demons at the MCG on Friday night. It ain’t gunna happen. They can whistle Dixie through their non-existent front teeth but the fact of the matter is that both teams have run their race. The game is a dead rubber — for each of them, this will be the last dance of the season.  And given the history between the two

    RED FACED by Whispering Jack

The wind and the hot unseasonable temperatures together with lights turned on mid game at People First Stadium conspired to leave many Suns players and supporters red faced and gasping for air as the Demons proved a number of points on their way to a nine goal triumph on Saturday afternoon in the Carrara sunshine. Melbourne is the only non-Queensland team to taste victory at this venue in 2024. This surely leaves a number of journalists and media mavens red faced after they rushed to pass
