couldn't resist bb  no will-power

Seems a very common disease in society in 2014 dc

Fortunately you don't seem to be as badly affected as a large number of the population.

Back at work today, now getting my Demonland fix.

welcome back Mr Leg.

Will 2014 be the start of a return to respectability or more of the last two years?

Fack, Redfoo has just appeared on the tennis. He's so facking wacky and zany I want to spew.

Amazingly he overcame the stigma of having a father that runs motown and huge TV network cross support to record a number one single!

The enduring and melodic "Let's Get Ridiculous" has become an anthem of immense power and meaning to all of us.

I hate Foxtel.

Today in a mistake they wiped my hard drive and I lost all of my racing videos of the last 7-8 years plus all the shows I taped. I lost irreplaceable videos of racing wins and presentations and I am furious.

Guy said he was really sorry it was a mistake and I was just the unlucky one. That makes me feel so much better.

Assuming it is a serious question, which is funny in itself.

If they cancel your service you lose all the saved data on your foxtel IQ.

Lost.

Would they not have tech people who could retrieve that data Redleg?

Apparently not. Guy said it was a mistake as some other order got mixed up with my account and all my videos are gone for good.

I know it is not as important as other things going on, but it gives me the sh-ts. Couple of good Dees games lost as well and they are rare these days.

Lost.

Ouch

Hard Drives can be recovered

Don't they say almost everything can be recovered or is that just CSI? I'd follow up with some techies. Old be surprised if there was zero that could be done.

What did santa get you lot for Christmas, I got a Rolex from the lesbians next door who must have misunderstood me when I said Í wanna watch.

Look on the bright side Redleg. Had we not been so pathetic for all those years, you might have lost 100s of hours of glorious irreplaceable vision of great Demon victories.

redleg, if they "wiped" the data and you haven't used the disk since all the data should be recoverable

when they "wipe" the disk they don't actually erase the data

take your iq box to a pc data recovery centre where they can remove the disk attach it to a pc and recover the data

using your great legal powers you can then send foxtel the bill

it IS recoverable

"Rolex" I only got liquor.

On another note, I probably have 50+ old VHS tapes of Melbourne in the 80's & 90's. A lot of Jako (11 against NM etc) Anyone interested in converting them, or is it not worth it?

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
