After a techno week from hell TBF I could not even contemplate thinking about the possibility let alone add one.

Perhaps next week or month or year. I am so over the electronics world I am seriously considering become a Luddite.

Snail mail and reading the newspaper and fax machines look very attractive today.

I am updating nothing until 2014 at minimum if ever.

You could compromise and go back to Windows 98. Or Windows for Workgroups 3.11.

agree od - humour and microsoft is an oxymoron

after your experiences with apple and ipad you are running out of options

hope the family on the improve

After the initial first months problems with the iPad it is now running as sweet as I could imagine.

Typing this on it now dc

The laptop is a work computer so I have no choice but to put up with it.

However when my own PC dies I think I will be visiting the Apple shop.

I have a number of friends on Android who all report good results pity they don't make a pc operating system.

The problem with Apple is their hardware is so expensive compared to PC.

But I guess as my brother keeps reminding me " Price does not matter if it won't work"

Cup day here on Tuesday mate so after this week i am taking monday off.

The windows 8 laptop has been retired to the floor under my desk till then so hopefully my humour will return over the next five days.

It is just that I hate being beaten by Dell and Microsoft!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just left my Dell Alienware Laptop with Win 7 Pro

Apple I now avoid but have one of their Laptops somewhere

For tablets and Mobiles I try and use Android gear

I find it absolutely hilarious to note how wrong ol' HAL got so many things. Personal PC's ?? No way Jose !! lol epic fail

A mate of the time actually worked for the company and showed me Warp. i was a bit of a newby to puters so didnt fully grasp its wonder til late having a career in them.

Warp...kinda a PC'd morphing of a Unix style entity all being done by the most Ironic of companies. A brilliantly engineered OS...its what Windows should have been !! lol

More than happy with 7 Champ.

Works fine for me.

Please don't dc you are rubbing salt into the wounds today.

After a week from hell this week I yearn for a simpler time.

What with a sick family, bloody windows 8, and numerous other disasters I could go a Tex bar right now with a strong coffee.

Sorry to hear it, OD. Hope the family are better soon.

As for Windows, someone must make a Microsoft voodoo doll, or punching bag ... :-)

Was told by a little Saint's birdie, that the Coach sacking has a lot to do with a huge prospective sponsor who wanted a new Coach.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
