Just finished a nice little red Macca and I am considering finishing the evening with a wee dram of single malt.

Latest bunch of bananas are a bit green No.1 wife dropped the ball yesterday, I like mine well ripened.

So it looks like strawberries on the Steel cut Oats tomorrow morning.

2006 Brocks Reef Cab Sav.

Kangaroo ,seed mustard ,shallot gravy .

Butter leaf Haddad and rice.

some deal site dozen shiraz

Stir fry beef with chilli and ginger

Salad with mini potatoes

Maybe. I'll have to take advice from Biffen on these dietary/health/clean living matters.

In Vino Veritas.

You'll notice us demons put the sanguine drop ahead of the fodder.

Sorry to upset you bb but they are talking about the Dakar rally which is now run in South America.

They shifted it a couple of years back due to political problems in Africa.

It is still called the "Dakar Rally" but run throught desert parts of South America.

I see the rally is on 'Eurosports' (for those with cable) . 9.00am(ish) and 6.00pm every day . Haven't caught up with it as yet this year but it has a strange appeal !

While I've got ya - we could with some more posters on the NFL thread next year (or this year) Now that you've revealed your team to all, there is no escape . Get on board old dee !

Oh for the great Joe Montana

and don't forget 49er's OJ. still holds the the avg yds rushed per game. 2,000 yds + when a season was 14 games

oh that's right, yeah forget him

carry on

Shall do Macca now that the Bears are watching again the 49's have my support

Oh for the great Joe Montana

Montana is one of my all time favourite sportsmen .

When I was just a casual observer of the sport I used to barrack for him alone !

Now the team he represented is an enemy  Your Bears were a bit unlucky . 10 - 6 is a good season - just couldn't beat my Packers hey ...

Warning Biff. There's to be nothing said here in relation to the inquisition. Including the commando's running the show. Otherwise Redleg would have you strung up whilst sitting on a banana lounge with his favourite smoothie and a lei around his neck..it's a good thing he is currently out of range on the love boat.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
