If it helps, I can start a discussion about which other fruit the players like. I believe Watts likes cherries.

So thats whats wrong with Cherries these days

If I could only find that I blame Jack Watts thread now

Yes it seems we do not have much luck.

I seem to remember that a couple of those we drafted knowing they would be out their first year.

Gawn and Fitzpatrick I think.

I do not take a lot of interest in the fortunes of draftees at other clubs Redleg

So I do not know if we are poor by comparsion or not.

but like you I think we seem to have a lot of bad luck with these guys.

PS you could have added Grimes to that list

And probably a few more I have forgotten.

If I was Jack Watts I would be destroying Cherries every night.

I bet he's been slaying them since he was at Brighton.

Could be why he is always so relaxed .

Footy has certainly changed. Sledging about family gets you suspended. I was told in many amateur games I played, by my opponent, that he had f...d my sister. It didn't worry me too much, mainly becuase I haven't got a sister. Players today need to be very careful what they say both on and off the field.

Very funny redleg .

This modern trend of players telling players that they have raped their mother is appalling .These days a player cannot simply punch another player in the head so they are forced to "dob in" the offenders.it is a ridiculous sledge that says more about the sledger than the sledgee .

the games getting bit soft I reckon. Sledging is just a mind game. If you re sucked in then youre fair game.. In out time red i reckon there was as much fun in the 'banter" and there was hip-shouldering someone into the turf/fence. Ah...dem good ol days !! lol

"Oi, I f...ed my girlfriend for half an hour last night!"

Your mum jokes. They're like kids in the playground. Can't believe it's such big news.

Thats more of a boast than a sledge really .Half an hour- What a Romeo!

On another note , it never fails to amaze me how often we draft a player and then he is out for most of his first or second season. Just some examples recently Taggart, Gawn, Evans, Gysberts, Tapscott, Cook, Jurrah, Fitzpatrick, Spencer, Tynan etc.

Though not in first seasons, add Bartram.

Looks like the thread will remain as is, especially as we don't mention the person who is central to at least 6 new threads recently and continues to be mentioned in several other threads. If for some other reason there is the need to change the name, I am happy to just delete the reference to "NO T$" and simply remain as the "NO B$" thread. Long may the thread continue and provide something a little different for Demonlanders.

Old Dee if you are still wondering what to do with all those scarves, I saw a lady on Sunday wearing a large cape made out of old Dees scarves sewn together. It looked very impressive and quite warm I would have thought. I think it was just 4 scarves sewn together lengthwise

A few more and you could have a great grandkid's bed cover. Does Mrs OD sew? (I assume you don't)

Great idea. I have a lot of old Dees scarves. I will see if I can get them sewn together. It will make a great blanket when I watch dees games on TV.

Stop this Redleg I reckon you are mosing us.

However it is hard to argue with your idea.

I am only naming them after the event. We are a cursed club. It has to change. No club in history has had to contend with what this club has been dealt this year.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
