Welcome to this thread. Feel free to post here 100 times but try and change the topics.

PS. Obviously no one on the other thread has seen the Age article today on you know who's knee.

Thanks I will read it with much interest ... but will I believe it? ... just depends on who wrote it and why ... & do I trust their "source" ....

Thanks again for the tip.

PS I heard that Dale Thomas has chronic OP ... that only thing that can fix it is a Collingwood jumper ... :)

45 Is it me or the computer. I follow all your steps and then press the "insert link" and then "add reply" on Demonland. It comes up but you can't click on it. Do you know what is wrong.

[ url=http://www.google.com]My link

This is how it looks when you insert a webpage. Use what's written above, but change www.google.com to whatever webpage you're linking to, keep the parentheses et al. And change "my link" to whatever you want to appear as the link.

(To make it a link, you just get rid of that space before the u in url)

Thanks 45, finally got there. Pity about today.

link it now to prove it! Thank Christ Melbourne had the bye.

I would like to know what the Demonland record is (in milliseconds) for the "Changes for Next Week' thread to appear after the finish of a game.

Also, what is the betting (time in minutes after 2:15 Monday) for a 'Should we get Andrew Lovett' thread to appear, and who will start it.

Pretty sure in a game earlier this year, a thread started early in the third quarter...I could be wrong, but it was definitely well before the end of the match.

Also, what is the betting (time in minutes after 2:15 Monday) for a 'Should we get Andrew Lovett' thread to appear, and who will start it.

$2.20 first time poster

$4.00 ADC

$6.00 Range Rover

$20.00 Any other rookie poster

Asking for time in minutes after 2:15 Monday is a bit much maurie.

But I can tell you it won't be long after the 'We should get Brendan Fevola' thread, but before the 'Install the Reverend as coach' thread.

Is that before or after the "Should we get Neil Craig" thread?

Before. But after the "FCS just get Mick" thread.

edit: Choko just started the Neil Craig thread..that didn't take long.

I'm getting really [censored]. That other thread has got to 24 pages and here we are languishing on only 6. Start posting people, this is a real challenge. There must be so much more to life than discussing "you know who".

Edited by Redleg

I just counted to six without using my fingers.

I actually feel less tense posting in this thread...

So what is going on?

Davey a chance this week? Surely not?

Will be kicking the dew around on Saturday at Skilled Stadium.

A mate of mine did the art-work (the wall not the bodies) in a new film clip by Gotye called "Somebody that I used to know"

. It is a fantastic song but now I can't get it out of my head. The same thing happened when I heard Paul Kelly sing How to make gravy. I love the song but it is driving me nuts!!

Funny how it seems to happen to us regularly. Last week Rioli, Sewell and Lewis came back for Hawks and won them the game while we lost Jurrah and you know who. This week Ottens, Ling, Stevie J and maybe Mooney are back for the Cats, not that they wouldn't beat us without them. Stars come back against us and are best on ground and we seem to lose a player or two from the selected lineup on the day.

Pods and some other senior player are 50/50 for this week. Pods could be rested and out for Mooney.

What's with banana's at $14.00 P/kg these days ? Don't tell me the carbon tax is up and running already....

where you been, man? they've been $14-16 at Vic market for 4 months. Yesterday though, there were bananas for $9 kilo. breakthrough.

Being partial to the odd banana smoothie, I was aware of the hike in prices, as I have been told often by the cafe's that they are not doing them as they are too expensive to buy. Suppose the good thing is that my diet won't suffer as they must be quite fattening.

Hurricanes and banana plantations don't co-exist well...

That's the issue.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
