sorry to hear you are passed, pf, however you must be mistaken in your geography. there is nothing palatial in romsey nor is there anything remotely resembling a mansion. are you sure you didn't over-inbibe, get lost and end up in caroline springs?

Dear Uncle Bitters, went passed palatial Romsey today ( on business) and spied a gent on the side of a hill on some acreage sunning himself on the Balcony of a palatial mansion with two cucumbers over his eyes sipping a beverage of some description in a state of absolute euphoria!

Not sure why but i thought of you!!!

Just a question PF.

On the cucumbers:

were they full cucumbers or just cucumber circles?

Also,if the drink wasn't cheap red from a silver bag then it is likely to be a normal decent person and not Bitters.

You can carjack your way from Caroline Springs to the CBD in under 20 minutes now.

Romsey on the other hand is not worth the trip.

Pity you didn't drop in picket. Still I suppose being so close to wealth, class and style overawed you.

PS. I shall ignore the inane chattering above.

LOL Gentlemen, But it was a fine day in Romsey, Daylesford and Ballarat! We will leave Trentham out of the equation for now! Although Trentham Golf Course is a lovely course!!

Well, well, well... what an interesting day it has been on 'Land.

Arguements, mass post deletions, name calling, moderator threats, tears and breaches of poster privacy...

And that's just on the 'Lost Kitten' thread!

Gotta love the personalities in this gin joint!

I have graced Lorne tonight with my presence. Is it true Max Gawn's parents run a cafe here? I'm pretty sure they would sell hash cookies.

Pretty sure Gawny's family cafe is down the Gippsland coast Ethan.

May sure you have a beer at the Wye River pub if you are heading that way. Great view.

Good meals there too. The Prickly Moses Ale and the Forest Brewery Silvertop Ale are great local drops.

Also try the scallop pie or seafood mornay pie from the A Bay bakery.

No, I don't have shares in those joints!

Ignore the infidels Ethan! I grant you permission to enter Romsey before your return to the Empire's outpost. You can see how people of quality live and ,for a precious moment, feel part of a better world.

You will be a better person for the experience.

Picket if I thought you had any discernment, notion of class, taste for quality red or fine dining, I'd invite you out to the manor to help you get over this shock. However, since are obviously bereft of such traits I shall leave you to wallow in your own nasty little trough.

Bwahaha Bwahaha !!!!

You can get a nice pot of Carlton at the Lorne pub these days for about $28.

I don't know what all the complaining was about, yes the trees are still charcoal but the undergrowth was looking particularly lush and rejuvenated and there are no more of those annoying koalas around.

I went through Moggs Creek after holding one in for a few hours hoping I could unload on a statue of Dangerfield which the town had erected but couldn't find it.

You could sculpt one out of your stool Ethan. Might be quite a work of art. You could title it 'The Tremblay Danger'

If it looked like a cross between Dangerfield and Jesus I could sell it on EBAY.

May need to mount it on a block of timber and perhaps varnish it.Polish it even.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
