2 from the first seven was the high point of my expectations pre season Mr. Leg

Funny what a win does to the reasoning power.

Now I think we are a rough chance next weekend.

We were beaten by four goals over there in a practise match.

Side is more used to each other now and it is at the G

This could be close.

Just imagine if we are 3 and 2 after five.

I hope I don't wake up any time soon.

Sweet dreams.

Seriously you cannot expect to beat the Dockers anywhere and in any galaxy, however, we are a different side and hopefully we can be very competitive.

Then, if we were very lucky and they kicked badly, got injuries and we had the best of the umpiring, well you never know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I woke up.

Read somewhere on one of the threads that Biffen and Bitter were both going to be in town for last night's game...has anyone heard from them since? Did they destroy some new place (since Bitter was banned from the Gat) and get locked up?

Have we established whether that was BBO on the tele last night with his shirt off, and plenty of flesh, after we kicked the winning goal?

Well done my Lord, it took a member of the monied and sophisticated class to pick up on that! I was inside the mansion watching on the home cinema ( and sipping a red) at the time of that bizarre occurrence . I could hear the lads watching on the big screen in the barn begin honking and kicking the walls. I thought I'd entered some sort of space/time warp and was watching myself. Then I noticed the shirt was of poor quality and not tailor made. I had a nasty moment though.

No Earl, not enough studs or make up.

Not sure when we'll hear from Biffen again! I believe he had to front court over various "matters". Outcome uncertain I would think!

Was Redleg representing him or was it someone else from the bar?

There is a lot of concern about the undesirable element ruining the convivial atmosphere and destroying the vibe in St Kilda.

But we at the Gat have a long term plan to bring down rents and remove these Glen Waverley hipster from our happy home.

No offence to Danby WJ,but he has no idea about Fitzroy St although his office is right in front of mine.

He has given very few speeches in Parliament about the importance of the Gat to Australian art and culture.

The only thing he had added in five terms has been about 30 kgs to his midriff.

I need to stand up for Melbourne ports and get rid of these educated, employed parasites from our streets forever!

Even when the "fellow Dlander" rate was applied Red was still far too pricey for Biffen and his dodgy credit card. But, as you say there are plenty of others at the bar. You do any pro bono work Jack?

Presumably he'll also need someone to do his soliciting for him.

A possible career change for you Doctor?

By the way,

On my (formerly) private court matters.

I was victorious- with no thanks to my learned colleagues on this forum although I do heed their wise words .

I represented myself, which was a risky strategy, but I had the matter heard in a rural backwater so I had some chance of confounding/ corrupting the judge.

I am now free to roam the ever emptying cafés of Fitzroy st to ply my trades!

Given your extensive "experience" with certain aspects of the legal system Biffen, I imagine you would have given a credible, if not quite Rumpole like performance.

However, one aspect of the matter does leave me curious. What makeover did you undertake to present as a worthy citizen? You surely did not appear in your usual garish, stained and tasteless pimp attire? No one would lend you clothing surely? Did you steal it?

I happened to have a temporary job dressed as a light infantryman from 1915.

Having no time to waste, leaving the bayonet at the desk, I dashed into court to face whiskey o'reilly , the country judge known to be better in the afternoon.

As he stood when I entered, I knew I had made the right choice of apparel.

of course paying the main witnesses for the crown a visit to "discuss" their evidence at 2am one morning probably helped a little bit too, biffo?

Biff surely wouldn't have stooped so low. He consorts with people to take care of those sorts of matters.

biffo doesn't like paying other people wages, mabel. besides, biffo's credo is the less people know the less they can talk

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

    TRAINING: Friday 28th February 2025

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you their observations from today's training session before the Demons head off to Perth for their final Practice Match. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning, not much wind, more than a couple of dozen spectators.  The players were up and about, boisterous and having fun. One of their last drills were three teams competing in a hard at it, handball game in a small area. Goody

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
