joeboy 3,193 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Green - unfortunately an embarrassment Jones - regular brain fades Bartram - game from hell Watts - 15 minute game Gysberts - no repeat performance Bennell - was rarely noticed Frawley - had no support Trengove - was surprisingly wayward Morton - composed and effective Sylvia - our only winner McKenzie - had no influence Moloney - prolific but ineffective Jurrah - tentative and lethargic Rivers - just too little McDonald - poor decision making Scully - prolific but wasteful Martin - couldn't get going Gawn - 2 years away Howe - never stopped trying Jetta - poor until injured Strauss - deserves more games Evans - had little opportunity

RalphiusMaximus 6,112 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Harsh to say that Sylvia was the only winner. Morton thrashed Shaw.
Gouga 570 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 bennel did a great job on krakour.... Did he? Krakour had 15 disposals and kicked two goals v Bennell's 6 disposals. Bennell did not hurt Collingwood going the other way.

I agree He had one passage of play. Whatever his postion is it is not in the backline. I will get jumped on however I have been saying it all year. He is not good enough.
Arrow 1,257 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Sorry guys just to comment quickly I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to go into the rooms after the game and Rivers was genuinely devestated. He was sitting by himself just in a state of disbelief. He didn't play great but it's not all his fault 1 on 1 on Cloke ain't easy. Midfield didn't work hard enough
Triple Jack 13 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Harsh on MacDonald thaught he was very good all day, except for the occasional mistake. "Never stopped trying" for Howe implies he didn't have much effect. but he took some great marks and was good moving the ball on. more liek "Won 2nd half"
Chicken Deelicious 0 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Jones: The weakest link Couldnt believe how often he sold team mates into trouble today, and how he would seem to hold the ball just 2 steps too long. Critical errors directly cost goals. As for the rest - too many mistakes. We are 3 years behind the maggies, and it was clear today.
Tigers Dayz 2 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Morton - refused to go Watts - Coming along fine Gawn - GA doubleyou enn
Rhino Richards 1,467 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Not a bad summmary Joeboy. Did he? Krakour had 15 disposals and kicked two goals v Bennell's 6 disposals. Bennell did not hurt Collingwood going the other way. I thought Bennell was put to the sword by Krakoeur. Mind you with 74 inside 50s it was not a good place for defenders.
tonatopia 278 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Green - towled by tarrant Jones - too much twitter Bartram - shold have shirt-fronted dawes Watts - best on ground Gysberts - well beaten Bennell - he beat krakouer Frawley - ok Trengove - worst game of season Morton - getting better Sylvia - big strong marking McKenzie - he looked slow Moloney - not too bad Jurrah - he looks lost Rivers - work cut out McDonald - work cut out Scully - staying or going Martin - not too bad Gawn - not ready yet Howe - never stopped trying Jetta - poor until injured Strauss - deserves more games Evans - had little opportunity

He is the new Cam Bruce for exactly the opposite reason. While Bruce would dish off to a bad option to avoid being hit, Jones will occasionally hold the ball too long because he refuses to dish off to a bad option. I'll take Jones any day. Also, let me say that the rot began when someone (can't remember who) chose to handpass to Jones in the midst of three Pies rather than go the other way to three unmarked teammates. Even then Jones very nearly got the ball out again.
Striker475 696 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Green - [censored] poor form Jones - not to him! Bartram - week too early? Watts - ok in glimpses Gysberts - nothing overly special Bennell - shut out Krakouer Frawley - some awful disposal Trengove - oddly off today Morton - kept pushing hard Sylvia - A game today McKenzie - did he play? Moloney - poor disposal really Jurrah - lazy or carrying Rivers - outmuscled, wrong opponent McDonald - played fairly well Scully - lots of nothing Martin - anonymous mostly today Gawn - raw but potential Howe - will be fantastic Jetta - average, average day Strauss - AFL suits him Evans - tried his best
trudders 0 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Did he? Krakour had 15 disposals and kicked two goals v Bennell's 6 disposals. Bennell did not hurt Collingwood going the other way. you wanna back it up using stats? i didnt even know krakour was playing until the second half.... i'm very surprised he got 15 disposals. Bennel saved us from defence 2 or 3 times and effectively. Krakours goals were cheap [censored]..... How was that 5 bounce run through the centre? any other game that woulda burnt off the opposition
stranga 328 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 He does it every week! Been saying this for a long long time yet get howled down. This guys is the complete hack! +1 not going to take us fwd. In the same boat as Dunn bate for mine.
Dee-licious 1,954 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Bennell did some good things but I think Krak won that contest - but he wasnt the only Pie to win their one on one. On the Jones debate - his disposal was terrible (as it is often) but he puts his head over the ball and gets it. I would love someone with the disposal skills of Trennes (the usual Trennes not the one today) having the ball the entire time but until the kids start getting under the packs Jones is always going to end up with the ball.
