Max Gawn in the 2s don't mind that if he is the number 1 and getting plenty of game time

GREAT to see Robert Campbell and most of all Jordie McKenzie up and going again. Shattered that Blease and Strauss aren't playing. Just can't get any continuity in there game at the moment

Ah, fantastic. happy with all of that.

Campbell in for his first official game on the Dees list. McKenzie in for a part game prob's. Tom McDonald drops back. We are building depth of talent. Troy Davis. And Kyle Matthews in there, this aint half a bad side for a VFL 2's.

J.MAC!!!! Super exciting

1 game in the reserves, 1 game in the seniors then straight in for Round 9 vs. St Kilda? Fingers crossed.

ahhh big smile seeing mckenzie and campbell playing :D

yes.... very interesting :))

aroused one would say

love the j-mac

Apparently the Northern Bullants have a young up and comer in Brock McLean. Apparently goes alright too. We should get him.

*Looks for sarcasm meter*

Edit: Welcome back Jordie.

would rather see gawn in the ones

need fev gone so our players get more game time

frustratin decision, hopefully howe sits on his head

Awesome to see Jordie back.

Why is Petterd named? I thought only players named on the bench for the Dees were included in the initial Casey side. Petterd is in the starting 18 for the seniors.

Too far to go to Casey - for him.Would cost him a fortune in burnouts.

Mc Lean... heh, heh, heh...

Gawn not competing with Fev for a spot? Gawn was horrible last week. Fev showed signs in the last Q. With Petterd and Bate playing for MFC Fev is a must (speaking entirely from a from a Casey and logical point of view).

never said gawn was competin with fev

reread my post

Big day for the Casey Scorpions today. The winner takes a place in the top four while the loser is left fighting it out for a spot in the bottom half of the eight. Although it's early in the season this is one of those make or break games that the team needs to win.

With the Bullants' alignment partner not playing till tomorrow night there should be a decent crowd coming along to see their former beloved Fev.

Yep- big test for the boys as theBullants are a very strong club- WIN this one and we are really in for a top year.Does anyone know wht Strauss is not playing. He is not mentioned in the injuries list?

Juice took him out at training week before last. Not sure what the injury is though but from memory it was a 2-3 weeker.

Kidney problem should only miss this week and be back next week. Club is really struggling with the injury list this year I have it on good authority that Rivers will be missing upwards of 6 with his ankle.

The injury list has been horrible for updates, maybe we should email the club as Jordie was still 3-4 weeks as of last week.

Could you explain further on Rivers?

I heard Strauss was 2 - 3 weeks as well.

Thanks - been complaining about communication problems with the club for ages now - but get drowned down every time.Best of luck re Round 7 -Ultimate,we both need it. RFPC will roll me due to Geelong resting Johnson and taking Ottens off at half time. This game is killing me more than the MFC.Just noticed your odds on to cause the upset of the round.Thks for letting us know re Strauss

Cheers for the updates on Strauss.

Anyone know about Blease?

Blease was concussed last week.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

  • PREGAME: Richmond

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?

A undermanned Dees showed some heart and desperation to put the Fremantle Dockers to the sword as they claimed their first victory for the season winning by 10 points at the MCG.
