I really don't think it was an accident to finish this album with Templeton's rendition of "Who's Sorry Now" by the way.

For just a fleeting moment I felt like Indiana Jones as he held the Holy Grail in his hands in Raiders 3.

I still have the vinyl of Mike Bradys "songs of footballs greatest sons."

It was my first ever record, and I reckon I could still sing along to every song. Classic stuff.

Can anyone help me out with the details of the song, possible titled (informatively) 'Football song', that includes the lines

Yep, got this. It's called "The Football Song" and was the common B Side to all the classic Fable club theme song singles of the 60s and early 70s. As with all the theme songs it was performed by "The Fable Singers" and arranged in a very similar style with banjo and a big brass section.

Here we go:

Wow this is taking me back.....I just went and looked at my cheer squad patches from 74,75, 76.....me and my brother made the run throughs quite a few times and proudly took them on the Red Rattler to the ground forcing several train travellers to help get them in and out....
