Juice out for a week

Featured Replies

put him in against the Suns.. And move Green out of the forward 50.

....tut tut tut. Just put himself back 3weeks

I made the same error earlier on Newton. He is officially a rookie and cant be upgraded unless there was an LTI.

Further as he was allegedly rookied to provide a pinch hit 2nd ruck option now being well coveted by Martin, I dont think there is a role for him. I am also cognisant of Newton being the perfect tweener .....capable at VFL but lacking at AFL.

I think Martin has snuffed his opportunities. He would need further bags of goals between now and mid year to get a sniff.

Incorrect, Newton was our chosen elevated rookie at the start of the season. He is currently on the primary list.

Juice is dominating at VFL Level. He has been tried and failed before but I reckon he will get another chance at senior level this year as a full forward who can pinch hit in the ruck.

Did Bo Nixon get suspended for his low blow on Maric?

Newton seems to have an uncanny knack of becoming unavailable when he's nearing selection.

That's my understanding.

Bad luck Juice. He had to be on the cusp of selection with Watts having an average game.

That is correct. Available for selection all year.

Ah he was suspended for a week!

Jack Watts breathes a sigh of relief... although Bate and Petterd still better options

I think Dunn, breathes easier.

... although Bate and Petterd still better options

Which is why they've been scoring so many more goals than Juice at Casey.

Oh wait ....

Damn.

Read: Phew.

Likewise

He wa upgraded to the senior list weeks ago, actually in the last week before season commenced.

Yep- fair comment by you- however it was just a getback. After consideration, withdrawn it anyhow by deleting the comment. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.By the way- how did you think Garland performed against Brisbane - great for a key defender- hey!.

That was one thing I noticed JCB, I talk up Garland to all of my mates telling them he'll be the next AA KPB in years to come. On Sunday he was falling over everything couldn't punch and would have gotten towelled by KHunt at Full Forward. Always next week in footy :P

would have gotten towelled by KHunt at Full Forward

That's going too far!

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach.
