Not counting the likes of Mundine and Ivanovic who just got handed a jumper and held it up for a photo shoot with no idea what they were doing here's a list I've put together over the years. Although I'd effectively put John So in that bracket as well, he must have been nearly the most rubbish #1 ticketholder we've ever had.

On the topic of celebrity photo shoots I've also got pictures of Kenny Rogers holding the jersey aloft and Chuck Norris being tackled by Adrian Battiston.. Will post later when I'm home.

James Tomkins - Rower

.................

IIRC, James did a pre-season with us, back in the days before he became a member of the 'Oarsome Foursome'.

Mike Sheahan, not bad

And he is a MFC member as well.

Really ???

Well he got a free jumper from us a couple of years ago..

Isn't this topic journalists? Just naming anyone who barracks is a bit irrelevant.

But then again, half the AFL journalists shouldn't rate as journalists anyway.

As promised here's Battiston vs Norris

And your NEW number one ticket holder, Kenny Rogers

Apologies for the rubbish quality.

Thought we could lay some claim to Martin Flanagan.

I wouldn't. He admires the MFC and has written some great articles about the club, but I don't see him as following the club as such.

Agreed on all counts.

Dr Turf from SEN is a Dees supporter too. Don't know his real name.

His name is John Rothfield whose brother Mark is a former committee man . As a very young man in the 1970's, he actually applied to coach the team ! If we are playing a rare Saturday game he always chooses his Demons ahead of his horses !

He knows his stuff too, knows more about football (and a lot of other sports) than most people in the media.

And the guy from the Toyota ads that isn't Stephen Curry.

Dave Lawson

Max/Mike Walker even though he used to play for us. I read that Kylie Minogue is a dees fan but never seen any proof in that

John Rothfield (Dr Turf) is right up there with Roy Slaven, his personna on Radio is fantastic, particularly with KB. John always sticks up for the MFC when he gets a chance.

Loved him ever since "Punter to Punter" on RRR.

'The Chief of Control" from Get Smart - my son noticed that he frequently wore a Red and Blue tie.

He must have been a Dees fan!!!!

i saw Ernie Dingo in the changerooms last year after our win against Port Adelaide

he was wearing a MFC member scarfe and had a pretty big smile on his face

Ernie Dingo is an Eagles fan, has been since they started.

That's strange about Ernie Dingo I saw him at a Melbourne vs Richmond

game this year wearing Richmond scalf and jacket behind the goals. Near the cheer squad I remember

cause he met with Jim Stynes who came down and sat with the cheer squad.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
