New Mascot

Featured Replies

Yeah not bad..... A bit suprised if they were going for 3 demons and aiming at kids that their isn't a chick demon in their amongst them to target the female demographic.

Just wondering how that would go inside the MCC Reserve.....some would approve i know, others may suffer a fatal Heartattack.

Interesting concept!! :)

is jake king still playing for richmond he might fit into the baby cheeky costume

Haha, hmmm I was thinking more along the lines of Jarrod Blair!!

I'm quite happy with the new mascots the MFC have presented us with. Again, something a bit different from everyone else and also again... heritage heritage heritage!!

Would be good to see all three outside the MCG at each Melbourne game to mingle with the Dees fans etc. Create a vibe.

Will see how it all goes.

In all seriousness, I think I do know that girl.

Is the picture off an Australian website?

See my link e...

and hand over the number please..

Don't have her number.

If its her, her name is Lauren & I've just met her through work a few times in the past.

I'm lucky enough to have had a job that has let me meet a fair few models.

One of those things where you take the good with the bad.

But I don't like self-indulgent posts...

Lol, na your right mate. I knew where you were coming from.

I cant tell you guys anything about release dates. It's not my place.

When they have released everything though I'll tell you all the story about

this all came about. It's been one hell of a surreal experience.

so whats the story???

been hanging out to hear this :)

awesome work by the way

i think the mcc has a no policy for net stockings. the horns would be welcome i am sure.

I love people who bemoan a mascot 'not intimidating the opposition'.

Can't you just see the scenes in opposing changerooms pre-game:

Coach: "Now boys, before you run out there for the warm-up, I want you to remember what we've been speaking about all week. I know that picture of a demon has had you all sleeping with the lights on, but you just have to find a way to get past it. Furthermore, I need you all to be very brave, because there's going to be a real-life version of that demon out there on the ground running the boundary and taking photos with kids in the crowd. Look, I don't blame you for being scared out of your wits of this person in a styrofoam suit, and if it helps I don't mind you holding hands to calm each other down. This is going to be a real test for you boys, show me what you've got."

I guess when the story is summed up like it is in the interview, it doesn't seem all

that amazing. The whole thing though was just full of surreal moments. The best

moment was being at the logo launch, and talking to both Cam Schwab and Jimmy Stynes.

That was just bizarre. If you've seen Waynes World, it was a lot like the "We're not worthy" scene.

Also just being on the inside with all the changes we've made (The new jumpers and the logo).

I was able to see all this stuff as it was being designed. It was just brilliant experience I

wont forget in a hurry.

These mascots are a vast improvement. My only small gripes are that the teenage one reminds me of Cam Bruce and the lack of skin tone. Anaemic white doesn't do it for me.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
