Who did you tip for the final before last week ? Be honest.

I'm always honest-- genuinely thought HT v's D/L7 was the huge game of the finals.Whoever one would go very close to pulling it off. Both of you had strong teams.D/L7 has recrited/traded extremely well over the last few weeks .,giving him great flexibility. He has very capable defenders, Centres, strong forwards, and a reasonable but improved ruckman. But, overall a very strong team. Dappa, with Sandilands is a very hard team to beat, one really has to play a tandem to beat him. However, JA , the premier last Year will be hard to beat. However, the brothers will work together G/F week to help each other..

Thanks for your support OMR- but truthfully D/L 7 has the team to beat me..he recruited very well.-beat me to the punch in picking up form boy- David Mackay whom played very well last week. He is on the boil with huge momentum. All the best with your match this week.Very interesting tussle b/w the two brothers..

MY prediction in the Brother Rivalry Prelim is Jack Attack.

This is based on nothing more than he beat me in our only matchup & I slammed Dappa Dan in our only matchup.

Agreed it will be a very close sibling clash.

Now you sound a little unsure about your chances against Demonland7.

He does have a very good team & is a strong UF Coach however,

I will throw your own advice back at you that helped turn my season around.

"Hold your Nerve" & NEVER EVER give up.

If by some chance things go pear shaped this weekend, GO DOWN SWINGING

Thanks for your advice mt friend-- you can count on me NEVER GIVING UP & I will go down fighting... but one has to be realistic..I rate D/L7 a even money favourite to win the G/F..he held off against Robbo--Robbo will fight another day..Robbo actually was a bit stiff.. I have picked a team that on paper does not get within coee of D/l7 but I will give him a real run for his money..

You can't trade - trading was finished weeks ago...but I'd take Scotland--I'd take Scotland for Stanton.

Doesn't stop 45 from delisting him and someone signing him up though.

Against the spirit of the competition HT

I would be leading the chant for a lifetime ban for both parties concerned if unfolded.

However agree is a loophole for cheats

That was a lot of fun! Played like a final should it, our match came right down to the wire. 1 goal or 7 kicks or 1 FA or 2 Hitouts. Good luck in the finals all. Robbo24 will be back again next year bigger and better!

Totally agree- there is enough with brotherly love in this comp as it is---without even contemplating anything like this.

Thinking about dropping Beau Waters for his poor display, got off at the tribunal too.

Not happy with Griffen's output either.

Yep- unfortunately Dappa- you look gone--as do I. D/L 7 seems too strong and Robbo stated my old team definately seem slowing down at the wrong time and are looking for a rest..looks like I will be playing Dappa for 3rd place.

Yup. No Crameri either. That's two defenders both of whom were ranked around 100 for much of the season.

Ouch. Drop Sandi and I'm done for sure.

Don't listen to your younger brother-- he is just trying to get you down.. however I really think you are in trouble - grab Grima or someone like him to bolster your backline..deep trouble if you don't..look forward to meeting you for playoff for 3rd..

you're actually the worlds biggest pessimist JCB. you finished top of the ladder and expecting to lose to the guy who came 7th!

You're the annoying AFL coach who always claims to be the underdog!!

Haha just realised there was consolation finals! Mind you not sure how legit they are - both myself and the guys I've played against the last 2 weeks haven't been touching our teams!

Good luck to the finalists! Good to see my bro get knocked out last weekend - I don't think I would have heard the end of it had he won

Been a fun and firey year - looking forward to next year! (And I promise to set the draft to auto pick in case I am not at the computer next time :))

I am a realist- you have a very strong team---But I am a Barker and whilst I am an underdogI'll fight like HELL.

That would be..6th.

Although he did lose badly to the guy who came 7th. :)

Shook him up and he then finished 1st.

You're welcome. (bows)

Take it easy on him DL_7. He's one who likes to 'tick the boxes'.

Didn;t tick the box this round made a pivotal coaching mistake taking Jolly instead of Ottens in the ruck- a major coaching mistake.

I was shocked this morning reading how poorly Jolly played last night. Guess the poor guy was against Sandi!

I wasn't trying to be rude btw JCB you're one of my favourites on here.. just meant you need to have more confidence in your team!!

I took the criticsm well- I was just realistic-- your team is/was far too good for mine-and with my star player also withdrawing left a huge hole.Far too good for me and all the best for the G/F..YOU DESERVE IT..but watch out you are playing the brothers!.

Congrats to Dappa & D/L7..got beaten by just plain bad luck..in the end by one tackle and without my star player Sam Mitchell not playing whom averages at least 5 tackles a game. That's life - thanks for having me in the league , great fun and look forward to next year. Best of luck to Dappa & D/L7 in the Grand final.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
