Supermercado, the creator of DemonWiki  is looking for information about players were either listed by, signed to or made appearances with the Melbourne Football Club in an intra-club, practice, Under 19 or reserve game but did not appear in a senior VFL match from 1897 onwards.

To help out, I'm creating three separate threads for Demonlanders to post any information they might have about the players on each list. This one's for players from Melbourne's Pre-VFL Days:-

In August 1873 Wardill committed suicide after admitting that he had defrauded his employer, the Victorian Sugar Company, of 7000p. His body was found in the Yarra River eighteen days later.

Poor old Richard. Surely, he must have been related to Dick Wardill, the captain of Melbourne's very first VFL premiership team of 1900 who I met a long time ago in the events I describe here. In the event that I come across him again, I'll try to ascertain the connection

Hi GHDB. You should know if you're his brother but I do vaguely recall someone with the surname playing for the club at around about that time. Could it have been Garth Honey?

There was nobody called Honey in 76/77/78 because I was looking in Footy Records from those years just the other day. Will let you know if I turn anything up.
