The season is just around the corner. The Real Goat, AD99 goes 5x99 on Madden, Akers is out for the year, Stafford ready to take QB1 for the Rams.

Rodgers shows up to training camp for the one last dance, Adams hasn’t committed to the packers either.

NFL strict rules about vaccination has upset some, including Hopkins. The Rams fan in me hopes he sits out the year. ?

OBJ seems to be flying, Barkley looks fit again. 
Can the Bills build on last year? Can KC bounce back? What will the Steelers deliver this year? 
Daks back… will it matter?

Can’t wait for the season to start!!!

Just over a month before we kick off the season ... that came up quick!! 

Not really in the swing of things just yet but there is certainly a lot going on especially at the Packers!  Stafford/Rams is an interesting one but it could be a good match-up

All the vision I’ve seen from practice is very positive. Some good connections with DJax long down the field but that threat makes me smile at the extra space Kupp will get as the field stretches. Kupps route running with Staffords arm and timing I hope becomes a thing of beauty.

Def needs crowd and in terms of LA, fan fights the very first time they had fans in it.

Anyone watching Hard Knocks? Rolled my eyes when I first heard it would be Dallas but after seeing Elliott’s inability to wrap a birthday present and Jerry Jones having a cheeseburger while on the phone to his the head athletic trainer there could be some value in this season! :p

Haven’t watched it. Have watched some pre season games tho to check some rookies out.

Sippos makes it as Eagles punter. Great work.

On the Rams, Hekker manages to keep the punting job and his comp is traded to the packers. Sony Michel is traded to the Rams to replace Akers. Atwell showed some and will be the punt returner and maybe a small amount of snaps. I would love to see him and Jackson both run deep at speed with Stafford throwing.

 

I have swindled the Friday and Monday off round one so that’s going to be great for me and horrible for the wife 😂

Did you see week 2 of Hard Knocks Gorg with the scrimmage against the Rams? Bit of biffo at times!

Tipping comp again?  We get 5 or 6 starters it's a goer

Reigning champions are Clintosaurus & titan_uranus whilst all previous winners include Clintosaurus (twice),  Gorgoroth (twice),  Dappa Dan,  JV7,  DeeSpencer,  Cowboy_from_Hell,  titan_uranus & Strafford.

From 3 picks tip 3 road winners in any given week is the task at hand (for those new to this thread) 

Various points are on offer as we work our way through the season in order to find an overall winner.  It's a breeze (apparently!)

Weeks 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 & 14 are worth 1 point (for 3 correctly tipped road winners) and weeks 2, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 & 16 are worth 2 points (week 17 is worth 3 points)

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week. WAYNE RUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS No Ollie, Chin, Riv today, but Rick & Spargs turned up and McDonald was there in casual attire.
