I'd love them to win it but I think it will catch up. The arms of Mahomes and Allen would have a field day.

Well we saw the Bills score heaps on them last week, but the Bills D isn’t great either. Chiefs O isnt great but they grind games out and the Mahomes factor kicks in.
Id rate Lions better v chiefs than Bills tho.

Colts, Dolphins, Chargers

You've gone early and it paid off, Gonzo!

2 in the bank!!

Although, at this stage of the season, most of the teams that should win, often do win

But there's nearly always 1 trap game and sometimes 2 trap games

You're in a good position right now

Don't forget your tips!

Stafford has started very poorly, inaccurate whilst under little pressure then not feeling the pressure on the last.

Couple of poor choices, intercepted when we should have hit the ball away, then we throw on 3&5, let them keep their time out. Give Williams the ball and get that clock rolling.

I can't imagine the Giants throwing away the top pick but Richardson is out and Colts starting Flacco. Although Flacco is probably auditioning for a contract next year so has something to play for I guess.

I need to lie down...

The Rams have been pretty poor the last few weeks since beating Buffalo but just seem to keep finding ways to win in low scoring games. 13-9 vs Arizona, 19-9 vs Jets and 12-6 vs the 9ers, with Cupp, Nakua and Higbee plus Kyren Williams at RB they should be putting up bigger scores against these types of teams. Stafford seems to have hit a wall.

It’s been weird, at times we can move the ball like we are a top 3 team and then we do a long series of 3 and outs. I mean we had one good qtr today no offence, D played very well and won the game for us.

McVay only gave one game ball today and it was too Witherspoon.

And the Colts & Dolphins can still make the playoffs so plenty to play for

Even the Bengals can make it after today's win over the Broncos

And it's easy for an NFL team to tank a game or 2 so those teams low on the conference tables will be eyeing off their 1st round picks

You're almost over the line with regards to winning the division but if you lose to Seattle then it will go down to the 5th tiebreaker as you'll be even with Seattle on the first 4 teabreaks!

I'm sure you're all over the scenarios but it's rather complicated trying to explain here!

The strength of victory metric being at the forefront

Yeah the strength of victory is the one we want to occur, then it could be wrapped up by Tuesday.

The Rams will have won the division by Tuesday (31st Jan) if 3 of the following 5 teams win in week 17 (tomorrow)

Bills (likely) 49ers (unlikely) Vikes (60/40) Washington (probably) Browns (not likely)

It might still come down to some week 18 results if Seattle beat the Rams next week

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
