My time to shine!

You and me both, Gorg ... post season often decent but in the regular season, I can't pick a road winner to save myself!

The other interesting (and amusing) bit about this year's main comp is will the 2 that are still on zero get off the mark?  16 consecutive ducks is Jimmy Higgs-like!  haha!

As for who is going to do well in the playoffs, we probably should be having some conversations about it all.  This is the time of the year where I've got stacks more time to devote to the NFL

I'd hate to tell people how to tip but....A lot of Dolphins tips for a line that's now swung 11 or so points since the Tua injury.

I have asked Santa for one point this comp lol...he's given me tasty donuts so far.😃

Leaderboard Tipping Comp

15 - DeeSpencer

10 - Go the Biff

6 - layzie

4 - Gorgoroth, titan_uranus, Clintosaurus, Macca

3 - Dr.Gonzo

2 - JV7*

0 - Others (including DZ)

*JV7 is awaiting a Bills victory in order to secure the 3 points in week 17

Presentations after week 18 but DeeSpencer cannot be caught so is the official winner of the regular season tipping comp

Congrats DS and well played! Now a dual winner along with Gorg & Clint

Go the Biff has secured the Silver (either outright or shared) and most of the rest of us are playing for Bronze! (layzie can still win Silver if he is the sole winner in week 18)

So we play for 3 points again next week with a bonus point applied, if applicable

It should be noted that DS has secured 2 bonus points this season which has turned out to be quite valuable

Thanks for playing everyone!

Gees that was some heavy scenes in Cincinnati yesterday!

3 points and a possible bonus point on offer this week ... a podium finish beckons!  Up to 7 participants can win the bronze but like most weeks this season, it's not easy this week as well

Vikes, Bolts, Cowboys

Slim pickings on offer.  Will have to tip two that I generally try to avoid.

Chiefs,  Vikings,  Cowboys

@JV7

I see the Bills/Cinci game is not going to be resumed or replayed so unless anyone has any objection, a fair result might be half the 3 points to be awarded (1.5 points)

That would take your season tally to 3.5 points, JV7, with 3 (or 4) points to play for in week 18.  So, good luck!

Jags make it to the playoffs, Lawrence played well but missed two wiiiiiiiiiiide open targets in the endzone. Jags D were epic in the second half.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
