I'll have another go and try to stick with it this year.

AFC North: Steelers
AFC East: Bills
AFC South: Titans
AFC West: Chiefs
Wildcards:  Pats, Chargers, Browns
In the mix: Ravens, Dolphins, Broncos

NFC North: Packers
NFC East: Washington FT
NFC South: Bucs
NFC West: Rams
Wildcards: 49ers, SeaHawks, Saints
In the mix: Cowboys, Vikings, Falcons

Teams in Bold are the ones I think are genuine superbowl contenders.

AFC North and NFC West (both 3 genuine chances) and the AFC South (0 great teams) probably the hardest to pick.

MVP: Stafford

My go at this.

AFC West: chiefs
Wildcards:  Raiders,, Chargers, Steelers

NFC North: Packers
NFC East: Washington FT
NFC South: Bucs
NFC West: Rams
Wildcards: 49ers, SeaHawks, Saints

AFC champ game Bills vs Chiefs

NFC champ game Rams vs Bucs

Superbowl Rams vs Bills

Rams win 31-24

MVP: Stafford

The lines are up and the first game is on Friday! (Dallas @ Tampa 10.20am) ... decent precursor to the big game on Friday evening.  Go Demons!

MNF is Baltimore @ Las Vegas (in the new Allegiant Stadium) whilst SNF is an interesting match-up (Bears @ Rams)

Other standout encounters include Steelers @ Bills,  Packers @ Saints,  Browns @ Chiefs & Seattle @ Colts

49ers, Packers, Ravens.

49ers,  Packers,  Vikings

Looks like Gus Edwards and Marcus Peters both have done an ACL at Ravens practice. Le’vein Bell needs to learnt the offence real quick, he is now RB1.

We've got an extra game in the NFL!  Caught me out

Means we've got an extra week in the tipping comp ... so rather than change anything it might be best to just add another 3 points to be up for grabs in week 18

Gives us a big finish (2, 2, 3 & 3 points) and keeps the interest up, right to the finish (especially for those lagging behind)

Listened in to today's game only ... anyone watch live and thoughts?

Browns chiefs is a seriously good game.

Rams did it well with Stafford

Aaron Rodgers benched?  Jeepers!  Could be a long season and we're in week 1

Score early flattered the Rams. Our D wasn’t great but since we don’t play any of our starters each year we start a bit loose and tighten up. Much more comfortable with Stafford under centre that’s for sure.

Packers D was horrid. And the O not much better.

Chiefs/Browns game was fun to watch. (Switched over from pack game)

No points won in the comp ... 2 points up for grabs next week before a couple of 1 pointers in weeks 3 & 4

From then on the odd numbered weeks are worth 2 points except for the final month

Week 15 - 2 points

Week 16 - 2 points

Week 17 - 3 points

Week 18 - 3 points

I can't believe the Ravens lost to the Raiders. Such a crazy finish. The Raiders defense does look stronger and they'll always be able to do something on offense. Interesting team.

Cardinals, Eagles and Saints the big winners from week 1. Time will tell if they are quality teams or not. The Eagles jumping up in the NFC East as the Cowboys (turnover luck) and Washington continue to be lopsided teams would be very NFC East.

Packers and Titans the big losers in terms of teams expected to be at the top of their (very weak) divisions.

I still say the Raiders biggest problem is Carr misses easy gains all too often.
if he fixed that he (and the raiders) would be a much much better team.
TBH the Ravens blew that game. But it’s game 1, and I still don’t rate Jackson as a great passing QB. Contain him and the run game and make his pass. He is good but less dangerous than running around.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
