Hard to argue with that Dappa, except we won’t go 16-0

we will drop a few games, have Packers, saints and. Chiefs in the coming weeks. Can’t see us winning them all.

I remember there's a period in the middle there where you come up against some tough oppo... but I still couldn't pick against Jared, Todd, big 99 and my boys... I feel like ifyou do drop one it'll be in the last game where you rest everyone. They're so far ahead of everyone else in the league right now, the Rams.

In other breaking news. Freaking Pats will be in the SB again.

I don’t think they will be. I think they stumble this year.

Week 8 we're playing for just the 1 point ... there's 1 or 2 standout road winners but putting 3 together might be a tricky exercise.  Good luck!

Leaderboard in the comp

3 - JV7,  Go the Biff,  Dr. Gonzo,  Clintosaurus,  Dappa Dan,  Macca

2 - Gorgoroth,  Dee Zephyr,  layzie,  DeeSpencer,  titan_uranus

Very pleased with this as an Eagles fan. A bit worried about what it does against NFC East oppo this season, but he wasn't as big of a deal to the Eagles going forward as he would be to Cowboys. Howie offered a second rounder, which is as high as I'd have wanted him to go... With Alshon, Ertz and Agholor I don't think he'd have made enough of a difference. Force Cowboys to give up a first for him... I reckon everyone wins in this one. NFC East is a dumpster fire this year, but it got interesting, at least, with that signing.

It’s a good trade and I think there is benefit all round. Only thing that sticks out is that it’s hard to believe the Raiders are trading away the pieces that were originally going to take them forward. When you’re starved for success you don’t want to hear the rebuild word too often, don’t we know it.

Yeah. I sort of understand if you're them. Mack shouldn't have been traded... the equivalent of Cox for Eagles. Aside from that though, I reckon they're making good moves for a big draft... Cooper is an equivalent of the Jordan Matthews trade for Eagles. WRs seem to me to be an important but expendable asset. And really, if you're Gruden, this is all going exactly as it should.

Gruden isn’t worrying about this year nor next. He will look at the Vegas years.

Yeah Romo has been good. I find the new MNF team ok, but very bland whilst trying not to be...

What a horrible way for that to end. Thought the GOAT was gonna get them up.

Oh I don’t know, I thought it was a good ending... ha ha

Interested in @Macca’s thoughts on today’s game.

i thought that GB ran the ball really effectively early, especially after Wade has gone on the record as the run game doesn’t matter to him as much. Well we had to certainly take notice of it.

The GB Oline was amazing first half, less so in the second but not a huge drop.

GB smashed the Rams on defence in the first half and if not for the punt that netted us the safety I thought the O was tightening up and trying to force things. Gurley was getting stuffed badly. Hekker was massive first half.

Second half, I thought Wade ramped up the pressure in Rodgers and the secondary tightened up, but more that the offence got moving so  we got score board pressure and that is what I thought GB failed to do in the first half.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
