The Jurrah one [censored] me off. What other good player has 48 on their back? No one.

The "loose cannon" Carl Peterson...? :P

I have my no. 48 Liam Jurrah badge pinned to my jumper that is now pretty much PART of the jumper itself! Whenever the jumper is worn, the badge is with it.

Yeah I was thinking of getting a new jumper with 48 on it, as well as 'Jurrah' above or below it.

What you've done there is find examples of good players who changed number from a high one to a low one. You haven't explained why this has to happen. It is just unnecessary. I say, if you've played even one game in a number, stay in it for your career. Who knows, maybe if Bennell stays in 43 he'll become the greatest ever player to wear 43.

Well we might as well re-open this debate:

Numbers available are 7, 11, 17, 21, 23, 25, 26, 30, 32, 38, 41, 45, 49, 50.

Anyone got some marvelous insight into which numbers Cook, Howe, McDonald and Davis will get?

McDonald for 23 anyone?

I'm assuming people are going to suggest players like Blease, Struass, Spencer, Bail and Fitzpatrick should migrate to a lower number as well, but I'm not a fan of that. Just keep the lower numbers free for future draftees.

As long as 7 goes to a good forward option (i still think of Brian Wilson whenever i see the number 7) & he loved nothing more than kicking goals!!!

11 - Rest whilst awaiting Spencer/Gawn/Fitzpatrick to claim

17/21 - Blease/Struass

23 - Can't decide between either rest for a year or give it to Howe. He'd be a perfect 23 if he's up to it.

Could care about the rest.
