Richard Tambling

I think in the right environment he could blossom.

Right now he needs a change of scenery.

Depending on the asking price, I'd love to have him on our list.

Much better option than Alwyn Davey.

I think I'd even trade one of Jones or Warnock for him.

He is an interesting one Tambling...Because he does have great talents, but being at Richmond for so long has that killed his spirit??

Or as you say a new environment of Team mate could re ignite him???

Worth considering....so many many players leave Richmond and prosper.

Definitely worth a look. Not being the sole responsible provider and posession getter may help him. Would love for our forwards to be leading at him. Give him space on a wing him/davey using their pace and skills would be worth a look.

I'd rather drink a cup of cold sick.

Wouldn't go that far. I have looked and am not interested.

I'd take him and I think he'd be a good get.

I think he's critically underrated due to being stuck in an average team and average environment his whole career.

Let's not forget the tiges were largely responsible for JON's career going nowhere because they never identified that he had learning difficulties.

At a club like MFC I think he'd be a revelation.

I wouldn't really like to give up Jones or Warnock for him though, I was just trying to stir up some debate.

'E25', jeez I'm surprised, I thought you preferred your players made of harder wood. I think we need to try to get players that are fairly robust.

IMO Aaron is about our limit, I reckon in any one team.

Other than that, he hasn't set the world on fire.... What about that Tiwi kid, 'WJ' posted about..

If were going to look at any lightweights, lets try to find a young untried Kid. You never know the potential.

is this really a thread?

richard tambling is the biggest draft disappointment since nick smith.

NO

Agreed. Small mid/forward without pace or awareness.

Another tiger stuff up.

Oh cool. In that case I would like to clone Hitler and play him in the back pocket.

Worth a look but only if the asking price swayed heavily in our favour...

Touché.

I had to backpedal though, when I realized the stupidity of the statement.

For a 4th round pick he would be worth a flyer. Might blossom at a club like the dees with strong indigenous roots.

I am not in favor of chasing him hard. If he comes cheap we will have a look, because the truth is Tambling is anything but a star, or even good player at this level. He is now a fringe player that needs a change of scenery damn quick.

4th round pick deal, anything more then forget it.

Yes to Tambling everyday of the week.

4th round pick and Maric for Tambling?

Tend to agree.

Wouldn't give something silly for him, but would be very happy to see him in the red and blue.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
