Mission Impossible?

Cats havent lost at home since 07.

Am I correct in saying that the DEES beat them by 1 point that year? Or was it the year b4?

We hadn't won their in 13 years or something silly.

Sorry, it was Port R22. Carry on.

Being competitive for the whole match will win us a lot of respect - especially since we are playing at their ground. I haven't seen the odds yet however, I reckon we will be around the $8.00 mark to win.

On Tuesday, Geelong were $1.05, Melbourne $10.00. *TAB Sportsbet.

it was 2005 when we beat them there, that was after we had lost the last seven rounds in a row, we won from 25 points down in the start of the 4th, the next week we did the same v the dogs to win from around 25 points in the 4th, then we beat the dons to make finals, as i remember all the dogs where watching the game hoping that the dons would beat as they all had a cry when we won, that was the most amazing time being a dees supported, in 2005 at one stage we where 9 wins 3 loss and second on ladder, we lost the next seven in a row, then we went to mission impossible in round 20, v the cats and won, we had to win the last three games of that year to make the finals, and we did we should never have won those games v the cats and dogs both games we where dead a buried until the last quarter heroics

I hope we play at our best, no, I hope we play the best we've ever played.

That way we might only lose by 10 goals.

All I'm realistically looking for on Saturday is a good showing from our backline, and for our forwards to convert every opportunity they gets, because I know our midfield is going to get smashed to pieces.

Geelong Advertiser Front PAge.

From another thread but we can only hope that Geelong itself have put the white flag goggles on.

The game down there wont be easy but Sculgove isn't our team anymore.

True they and others have brought a new confidence but last week showed they are part of a much improved unit across the ground.

Hopefully the Cats wander into the white flag trap and turn up for an "easyWin" whilst we bring our A game.

Nothing would please me more than to see another defeated or almost defeated top team saying "we didn't play well today" underestimating what our group can do.

Lets see which flag is flying at the end of the day, I hope its grand.

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
