Was hoping that someone could enlighten us as to when we will be opening our Admin offices at AAMI Park? We all know that it is open now and I presume our arrival is imminent. Hoping someone has an exact date.

Also when will we hold our first training session on Gosch's Paddock? I presume we have to wait for Collingwood to move off it? Or are we getting the 'oval' alongside Gosch's? The one without any goal posts up?

As a side note I had the pleasure of training/playing on Gosch's paddock on Saturday morning. What a fantastic surface. I have never trained/played on anything like it. Super short grass, firm but has give, always a little 'wet' (moist is more apt)was a great surface. Was interesting to see also the markings The Pies have marked out on the ground. Inside their 50's they have, presumambly zone boxes drwn out. Two lots of three. I am guessing this is used for kick ins and also zones. Also of note was a centre circle marking in the forward pocket at the south yarra end. This showed me the importance of bounces that take place at this part of teh ground. I am guessing that all clubs have set plays from these situations these days.

Finally, are we having a welcoming party at AAMI or anything similiar and will we have the MFC logo placed somewhere outside the ground to further consolidate our brand????

Cam Schwab tweeted yesterday move in date is early July.

So training will move there as well???

One would imagine so.

There is a fair bit still to do in readying the complex for the Clubs to move in. Obviously the priority for the development was getting it ready as a live event venue, fitting out the facilities, office space, training areas, change rooms, etc would be secondary.

Balls - we are getting the new oval that is next to the Pies (until they get their new oval), this is the one with the two large nets already up. One would assume we would start training there in early July (to tie in with us moving in to the complex).

The ironic thing is that the guttering system is supposed to be one of the major features of the design.

it's a syphonic drainage system using flusher tanks so the water is effectively sucked off the roof and then stored in tanks beneath the stadium for reuse.

No idea how they managed to make such a mess of it.

with all that power being used last Friday-amongst the rain they are very lucky the whole structure didn't become "Live" Unfinished building with water leaks + Voltage =Danger. B)

My understanding is they knew that it wasnt going to be finished, but rolled the dice with the weather. Generally not a bad bet with Melbourne's lack of rain, they just got very unlucky.

I think we move in during the mid season break, and all training, gym, medical facilities will be based there. Casey very much a secondary option thankfully
