Jamars Girl

Recommended Posts

This is my first post.

I have been a long time fan of Jamar. I first met him at family day in his first preseason as an 18 year old. He was very well spoken and very polite.

It's great to see he has gone on to finally be a great Ruckman. If he stays fit not only will Melbourne have a chance of making the eight but Jamar himself should be all Australian selection.

Hi Jamars Girl. I do agree that Jamar is a ripping bloke. I also believe if he stays fit for the next few years he will be the number one ruckman in the league. I can not wait to see him up against Sandilands.

I'm with you too, Jamars Girl. He's probably the single most important bloke on our list at the moment. Wish we'd locked him into a longer deal last year.

The one year contract has sparked him up i bet-Might turn out to be a very shrewd piece of business from last summer.

Well spoken and polite. Way to ruin his tough man image!

I remember seeing Jamar and Moloney at Chadstone one day in 2007 I believe. I saw the sheer size of these big boys and just thought what a waste of size and talent that they weren't making it in the AFL at the time. Both of them now are excelling at what they do best.

Welcome. I have never spoken too him so i will go off what others say, I must admit i was not a big Jamar fan and thought he was an average ruckman at best around 2008. However last year he showed some really good signs but i was still not convinced! 2010 WOW he has been fantastic and IMO is pushing the Giant from Freo as All Australian at this point in time. It just prooves that we as supporters have too back the football department with the players they recruit and/or keep.

Great work Jamar!

Couldn't agree more. I met Mark last year at Wandong after the bushfires. When I spoke to him again after a game he asked how we were going. Great to see him finally recovered from his injuries and showing us what he can do. Was helping out at Casey coaching the rucks while injured. Now that Matty Whelan has retired he is now my favourite player.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

2024 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
